2008.01.16 - Version 1.4.2.3 Uploaded

- Corrected a minor bug where you had to activate date and time in watermark, for the watermark text to show. Watermark text now goes into the image without having to enable the date and time in watermark. Thanks for pointing this out Spin Rep.

- Added a news ticker where Autoscreen info will show

Restart Autoscreen to get the update or download from Autoscreen > Home

Also remember the Autoscreen Win 1000 PED event!

Hello.

For people having the problems as Polynices have, this is caused by you running windows in 120 DPI settings. If you change to standard 96 DPI Autoscreen will show normal.

Kujo PM'ed me about this and helped me figure out why.
So I will look into it and make nessesary changes to have it working at 120 DPI also.

Now U are prolly gonna say RTFM to me, but theres no manual and I can't figure out what I do wrong..

I have these settings...


When I get an public (first time), it doesnt grab the public, but it DO type the C+P command...

Second global in same session - it does nothing at all...

I have an C:/SG yes, and tried other locations as well...

Plz help me...

I tested with the same excact settings as you, to see if there was some bug with those settings together, but it's working all fine.

If it writes the C+P command it have started the "storage command" and should also store your image.

Do you run XP SP2?

Does it work if you integrate with print screen button and take manual screenshot (select the option)?

Quick question: Is autoscreen really supposed to eat as much RAM memory as it does? My task manager tell me it's using up 56 344 K of memory, and that's the single most memory hungy thing running when my computer is just waiting to be used. I mean even firefox is lower at the moment. Are there any specific reasons it's so "demanding"?

Well as every big coders (microsoft and mindark) I guess I have some memory leaks

Naw 56 is a bit much and never seen it that high actually.
It's usually around 25-30, most of this being .NET platform that starts with a higher memory usage, but then is pretty stabile.

Ofc I can have a look in the code and see if any recoding of specific parts is needed.

Nope doesnt seem to work sorry

Every time I press 'Activate autoscreen' I get an info popup down by the icon saying "Information Autoscreen is running. To stop the process, double click this icon or right click for meny."

That popup, (cough) apart from the "meny" typo, is rather annoying. I mean by now I know it's running and it's causing some issues.

My ATI drivers don't like popups at all so everytime something gives one my screen starts lagglig like h*ll; be it this popup, the start menu (only sometimes), the liggle idiotic box from WMP telling you what song it's going to play next etc.

Anyway enough rant about it, could it be removed, or have disappear after the first 3423 times you press it?

Edit: Well I only get lag if I'm using some 3d application (like Entropia) - still I use windowed mode and like to play around a lot on my desktop when I'm not wasting money.

Sure, this window can be removed and I guess there is no reason for it to be there. Maybe I make it so that it will only show the first time that you run Autoscreen. Will look into it

Close down XFire and then give it a go.
Probably crashes with XFire, can not see why else it should not work.

Let me know when you have tested, if this is the case, then I must do some investigating on XFire.
