Leave the apartments alone.
I have maxed out storage and use them as additional storage units for things I do not need on a regular basis. I paid for them and the monthly fee is a user fee not "rent". So if I do not use them, I do not have to pay the fee. |

ok i think a few mis understood my concept, or well i didnt explain it right.
If you have a property, and say the maint fee is 6months behind you get an email advising you that it must be paid. Then if 3 months later you still havnt paid it, your appartment is forfitted so those who want one have access to decent ones. Im specificly after a 'g' appartment, but cant seem to find one for sale. Of all the 'g' appartments i checked out only 3 where paid up to date. That would say to me that the rest are unwanted or what ever. If its an investment surely you would pay the measly 10ped a month to continue to have the use of it. |

You do realize that G apartments, being the "best of the bunch", are the largest, least common, have the most item points, highest number of guests, and are probably worth 2K or more PEDs? And even that, I'm guessing is conservative...
That said, I am considering selling my apartment, but it won't be targeted to the new player, but maybe an uber who also is a collector, or the player who maybe wants to invest in themselves as an arms/armor dealer. It comes as follows: -furnished with table, chairs, lighting, shelving, decorations, hunting trophies; -over 700 items (a large collection of 27 guns & weapons, some are (L) items with high TT value); -an armor collection with 10 complete suits; -a great view from the 4th floor of Treasure Island Copper Building of the ocean, right by the beach, and close to the TP without having to climb stairs; I'm considering a tentative price-point of 20K PEDs, taking into consideration the rarity of many of the items, predicted inflation of the unit and items, and size/rarity/future unavailability of the G-sized apartments. I'll formalize a "for sale" post when I have more time to put something more professional together, including itemized list and screenshots, but if you're interested, check out T.I. Yeah...I can't support the government (MA) stealing my apartment because some people don't think I use it enough.
If I was just renting it, maybe. But I paid an upfront fee to purchase it. Whether or not I'm using it to your satisfaction is irrelevant, since it's mine. If there's not enough apartments available for you to comfortably purchase one, petition the government to build more. But don't ask the government to steal mine on your behalf...that's not cool. |

Leave peoples appartments alone
![]() If there is not enough appartments now, perhaps MA should put some of the free ones on auc, with a start bid = to the BO that was before. This would help keeping some of the value for those who have invested, and make it possible for others to get one. MA could put up X % of the appartments that is left, and when most of those are sold, or after a given amount of time, put out some more, this would keep the marked from getting overflooded. When it comes to rent, I look at this as decay, if not used, no decay. I want some of the semi uber stuff that is in this game, but there is almost never anything up for sale, I know that there are lots of good stuff just sitting in some collectors storage, so if you have gear in your storage, and its not used for 6 months ( no decay produced = no rent paid ) should it then be put up for auction again think not....Same with appartments, like all other stuff, its bought and paid for, so it belongs to the owner, and if not used, there should br no decay ( rent ) on it ![]() Just my 2 pecs S V ![]() |

Those apartments have been purchased. What possible justification would there be for the apartment being forfeited?
Since the monthly fee is a "maintenance fee", and is assessed per apartment (as opposed to a "building upkeep" fee), there is no need to "maintain" an unused apartment. When the apartment is being used, a maintenance fee is assessed - and paid. This system makes complete sense as it stands. |

Ahh ok right eo, now i understand the maint. fee. I assumed it was a standard charge like Body Corporate Rates for a real appartment. I just figured so many appartments that were 'overdue' ment the players who owned them had no interest in their property any longer... and it was pretty much just sitting there.
Well in such an event maybe it is worth petitioning MA or something. I dunno just wandering around the Omegatron buildings the area is rather cool, nice shops in the foyers and trade area etc I would have assumed it would have been more 'busy' than it actually is. |

NO! If i buy a car and don't use register it or buy fuel for it for 6 months, should the dealer be allowed to come and take it back? I don't think so! So therefore, why should MA have the right to do the same with my apartment? |

Urgh your all misreading what I wrote, or more so i didnt make it clear...
You buy a house, if you cant maintain it the govt. can cease it from you for not paying taxes etc.... If you have a house/apt what ever and if after x period of time the rates havnt been paid the govt. can step in to cease the property and auction it. 6months may have been to short of a time for my example, say a year of an appartment not having paid its maint fee then something should be set in motion to put the property back into circulation for someone who wants one but cant get one or something. Its not like im saying 'MA should take anyones appartment who doenst use it', they should just do something about those which arnt used for a excessive period of time and the rates/taxes arnt paid on the property. |
