Few Appartments For Sale

During some estate housing today I noticed that after an hour of trawling around the towers at Omegatron buildings and after extensive searching and seeing not a soul around i concluded that MA really needs to address the housing available vs. housing thats just sitting there.

My thoughts are and feel free to comment etc...

Estates should default if the monthly fee hasnt been paid in 6months and contents should be moved to storage, and the appartment put up for auction again. Perhaps a email notifyin the owner they are over due by 6months and give them another month to get up to date before the appartment is sold.

This would at least open up more income for MA , i saw over 30+ appartments with 'overdue' payments on the maint fees. I went from floor to floor checkin all apartments estate terminals.

Whats everyone elses thoughts on this?

No good idea, as ppl may not play for a while due to RL issues.
But I think that Marcus Calendar Estatebroker(or what was his name) should put on auction that appartments and houses he still own to provide more income from players that want some estate and are more active right now.

From what I remember until about a year ago there were a large number of properties on auction with buy-outs.

Problem was that these put a cap on how much something would sell for. Since they have been removed prices have generally risen which is good for those who bought a property previously.

I guess strictly speaking they should auction off all property, this would annoy those with existing leases. It would give the market a chance to find it's true level, as now the market is artificially restricted but unauctions properties.

As to maintenance fees unpaid........well, its not unusal in the real world for property to be recovered by the owner if such fees aren't paid. (Can't believe I'm arguing for more charges ).

I dont think players should be punnished in such a way for not paying their fees. If a player is not active for long, he will eventually lose his stuff anyway.

And I would be utterly pissed to see, that my investement was taken from me after six months.

I deliberately choose to no longer pay my rent despite wanting to go in there occassionally but that's another issue

... and as for stuff being automatically being moved to storage, that happened a VU or so ago when a load of stuff moved from one to the other all by itself

If someone does`nt pay the mortgage on a house or rent for thier place they get evicted. Same should hold true in EU. Otherwise it`s just another form of squatting. I agree all those properties that were on auction should be back up there. Who cares if a bunch of peoples "investments" lose a bit of value. It happens to everyone and life goes on. As it is now it`s just more artificial inflation as done by the auction manipulators.

Yeah well if the ones that are no longer being sold get back on the auction, i got nothing against it - seems just fair to me. But if not using a flat that you bought would mean loosing it, the same would have to apply for unused equipment (that is, if its really market manipulation you want to get rid of). Otherwise? No fair.

And it does definetly not equal to squatting since I bought the flat and cant enter it untill i pay the rent. Whereas squatting means that a bunch of likeminded people start living in an unused building. Cant see anything simmilar there.

I know there are few for sale, but until MA put a mass amount of Apartments on the Auction, the current amounts will have to do...

I would hate my own apartment to be deleted.
