there are still some test runs we have to do to be able to answer this. From what we know atm is, that with letting regain the mob loot will be higher. However, it is not linear and seems to be limited in some way.


Here an example from Ambu/Formidon data, both have HP of 1100. (Ambu with cost mult. 1)

Regain was quite higher with Ambu and hence loot is higher (Log-Rank p = 0.054, Breslow p = .029).

DmgDone ratio Ambu/Form is about 1.33 (i.e. 33% higher with Ambu). Mean loot ratio is 1.26 and median loot ratio is 1.28.


So if hunter B is able to loot the mob, loot should be higher as in normal circumstances.

I'm still not certain about all of this either. Firstly I don't think we know for sure that damage done by another player turns into loot for the person that kills and loots the mob (correct me if I'm wrong). I'd guess it does but dunno.

Secondly, I encountered a couple of mobs with more than 50% health whilst hunting big Tsktsk during WoF (it was complete mayhem there). I killed a couple where I definitely did over 50% of its HP and was unable to loot.

Oh in that case - It is clear that he did not have expected effect.
But knowing that EU is long term game, he could easy have got those 60 PED spent later on - for example next day - hunting Aurli.

Experiments are nice. But short ones usually only encourage longer onces, but does not provide enough data to make any conclusions

From another thread I learned that 50% of the hp does not always mean 50% of what is showed on the health bar.

Mob example is some mob with 100hp points.

Lets say that person A is killing a mod down to 10hp left, then dies or just leaves the mob for some reason.
Person B comes to the mob when it has regenated up to 55hp.
Patron B kills the mob.
So totaly the mob had 145 HP (90+55)

Person A would still have the right to the loot since he made most damadge (about 62%).

Yes Dawis you're correct. To be honest, I didn't really expect to learn anything interesting on the Exa test - I was just in a silly mood. Like you say, it could be that those 60ped were returned on something else later, or it could be that they were lost completely.

I encountered an Atrox Guardian ones that was almost death. I kept its healthbar and continued to hunt around it. After a while i noticed it to be almost full again and the previous hunter had not come back. I shot it and was unable to claim loot loot. I think only when it returns to full health the damage done is reset. Untill then the person who does the most damage is the one owning it.
