Man, you're killing me. I know this has come up before, but this is beyond sad.

Your A105 and EP-41 is getting you 41.2 dmg/s at 2.66 dmg/pec.

Buy Isis HL8s or higher on auction at market prices and put the A105 on them and you'll get the same economy and more damage/s. Better yet, buy a Christa or HL6 or even P5a and amp it. Even with less dmg/s, i still think the better eco would come out ahead:

Level 61/61:
EWE EP-41+A105 Dmg/s=41.2 Dmg/pec=2.66 (with 2xabrer and elkarr)
P5A@136%+A105 Dmg/s=34.3 Dmg/pec=2.87

Roughly approximating, that 8% difference would have saved you 12541*0.08 = 1003 PEDs since you started this project, putting you overall about even (even ignoring skillgains).

I realize there's a lot of freedom in UL weapons, but if something's not working for you, change it. :/

Well Doer you know how frustrating it is to tell a noob that gun is way beyond your skills and youll lose peds like crazy so its kinda silly to make a thread saying i wanna make my money back when in reality the only thing he will ever do is lose way more peds because he doesnt understand the game.
So when i say i hope you get lucky , i mean I hope a large object hits you on your head and wakes you up to the fact If you dont use L weapons or New Unlimited non HA weapons you will never ever make out at this game at mid to low levels skills... period

When he first started the project, he made the point that he was just looking for a really big HOF, the kind of lucky big one that is sorta independent of any economy profit/loss considerations. It's a valid way for someone to play, but i see the slow bleed here and just think maybe trying something else for a bit would be a good idea.

20k would buy an unlimited HL6, which would give a permanent 2.89 economy. I think the up front investment would pay off for such a dedicated hunter. EU is almost always a case of invest now or spend more later.

Anyway, i'll go back to the sidelines and shut up. I just hate to see someone so dedicated making what are IMO costly decisions.

You as a player have to be aware that the trap in hunting is to show you a nice huge gun with fast shooting and lots of damage and you say i want that gun, but in reality thats the trap, you arent gonna have the skills for tha weapon til you hit 100 HIT... if your at 40 now it will take many years more than 5
so put that out of your mind...
So to play this game you only have 2 choices for weapons if you are a serious player who actually wants to progress

L weapons and New Unlimited Weapons.. the old guns are not an option...

Thats 95% of the hunting game... If you follow that one rule you will progess

what are you counting here Doer?

EW-41 Military + 105 = 65.1 dmg/sec

and 8% difference of your is messedup also - it is 8% of decay not Total Taxable loot...

and to Snabble, what is you HP noob?


and to all who still misses the point:

10% even 20% of savings WILL NOT COVER 50-70% overall average losses.

I am not after discoverin a technique of "Bleeding Slowly" I am after finding out whether my Avi is gouing to collapse or not.

however as Doer pointed out this is not the point of this experiment.

also - look at it this way - I am investing into better skills and better gear through PLAYING the game NOT BUYING STUFF.
