I don't quite understand your logic here.
You started off saying that you lost 20k hunting neconu.
So then.... you are going to earn that 20k back, by hunting more neconu? With the same gear?

Your fellow Entropians have provided you with solid numbers, based on proven facts, that show you would go better if you changed your gear, and hunted on different land.

Sure, the extra 8% they came up with won't fix 70% returns. But it will make you, as you say, "bleed slower". Which, although not necessarily the point of the project, it sure will save you PED in the long run.

Also, the (L) gear they have been suggesting you use will add to your skill gains as well, which I think you made a fatal error when calculating the importance of... You say someone's test came up with the result that skill values = 5% of ammo spent.

Assuming this is accurate... (whether it is or is not is all that relevant at this point).

You said 5% of 20,000 PED (amount you lost) is 1,000 PED, which is canceled out by the misc. fees you don't factor in, such as TP chip decay, and other small decays that add up. You used that 1,000 PED as an estimate for your skill worths.

However, it was 5% of ammo spent, not PED lost, that made up your skill values. Over the course of your 2 years losing that 20,000 PED, you obviously shot more than 20,000 PED of ammo. Your skill values are far higher than you may believe.

I don't know how much ammo you shot to lose that 20,000 PED, but I would be willing to bet that it would put your skills at a value greater than 20,000 PED, based on the profession levels you gave us. This would put you with a profit, meaning that 5% tax and 8% eco advantage on a better setup that you have been throwing away as "insignificant" have actually been even higher profit you could have made above the skill gains, that you have been turning down.

..yeah.. I also will start counting skills in for my project, e.g. They make profit for many players I know.. if they hunt smart

What fresco really has ignored is the fact that, well, unmaxed Unl weapon < maxed (L) weapon. Buying one of those high markup guns might also save fresco's armor and fap decays greatly, or, if he chooses to, buying lower dmg/sec guns with lower markup that would still save money for him.

The point of this experiment IS NOT to "Bleed Slower", in fact it is not even about the losses...

It is about a jackpot

Plus to provide everyone with a a record of "camping" one mob over years....
this in itself is quite a contribution, actually I should start a fund "Fresco Neconu Camping Fund" and start accepting donations.

I also HATE WITH A PASSION all limited marked up weapons and gear.except from mining amps, perhaps

If you are throwing away possibilities to be more eco, then all you are really able to prove with the project is how being uneco adds up into a bigger loss/smaller profit over time.

Also, if you are trying to accurately track what you are losing or winning, your skills are a big part of that. You really should check their worth, as it really is much higher than you have said before. Definatly worth a try for you to download jdegre's skill scanner and spend 3 minutes scanning.
