One more thing: Does anyone have a suggestion where to go the next run? I'm thinking about paying a visit to one of the LandGrab Areas. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Run #8
Location: LA-7 (South of Omegaton West Habit) Ammo: 40 PEDs Total loot: 43.79 PEDs Decay: 100.72 PEDs Ammo back: 31.84 PEDs Leftover: 26.53 PEDs Return: 40.2% Comments: I have done some other hunts, but those weren't recorded. This is because I didn't use the money of this experiment. One was very good (for me): Drones and Miner Bots with two globals. Maybe I return to see if I'm a better miner then the Miner Bots. Other hunts outside this experiment where (I think) a little better then the ones I record. For my Hunting vs. Mining I visited one of the lands of Art of War: LA-7. When I just arrived there, I got a message from a friend if I wanted to teamhunt. I also hunted with him yesterday and got a return of about 85%. Unfortuatly, we couldn't found anything nice today. Still good to have a friend along: thanks Tom! I wanted to post a picture of my loot, but the screenshot wasn't taken. There wasn't anything special in it. It had been a poor hunt. But it is nice to be able to hunt Bristlehog Stalkers. Next hunt is going to be middle sized Gradivores on cK Coat Killers land. But first some selling to do, but what? [EDIT] A few comments that I forgot: After this run, I couldn't repair my sword and will have to wait for things to sell, before I could say that I really spend it all. I also forgot to make a note of my Korss H380 (L) and fap before the hunt so I got myself a little run with no fees to pay. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Ardorj; 04-16-2008 at 20:42. |

Run #9
Location: LA-18 (West of Nate Valley) Ammo: 40 PEDs Total loot: 119.17 PEDs Decay: 62.07 PEDs Ammo back: 31.90 PEDs Leftover: 41.31 PEDs Return: 166.7% Comments: This is a fine Gradivore land grabbed by cK Coat Killers. It has mostly Providers and Guardians, but Olds and Alpha's have been spotted. They are most dense at the north and west borders. Gravidors are easy to handle and will not attack soon. In fact, they may attack rather late, while I had just dropped a bomb. The decay is rather low because I hadn't killed many and they are died fast enough. While I was running back to Nate Valley a Caudatergus looked mean to me: Jippy-jah-hee! A global! The first in my Hunting vs. Mining! From now on I change my paying tactics just a little. First I would start with a fully repaired sword and then pay the decay bill. Because I'm done with my initial 500 PEDs, I haven't been able to pay the decay bill the last two hunts. Therefor I will no "buy" my Katsuichi Valor while it's broken, repair it, hunt with it and "sell" it back to myself. I placed all the wool on auction, with eye oil and something else. Previously I've sold muscle oil and iron from the Argonauts. I normally wouldn't have sold my oils. Oh, and the total loot picture: ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Ardorj; 04-16-2008 at 20:43. |

The next run is here: Run #10 Location: West of Limnadian District Ammo: 40 PEDs Total loot: 92.32 PEDs Decay: 72.11 PEDs Ammo back: 38.56 PEDs Leftover: 65.39 PEDs Return: 125.5% Comments: I am afraid I made a mistake somewhere whit the PED-flow. Without getting in too much detail, I got more on my PEDcard then what would be possible. I don't know exactly where it comes from (I got a few ideas). Lucky for the hunting-me I've said that the PEDcard always has the true value. It's very likely that the unknown PEDs come from somewhere of the loot. Without it, the return is lower, but still a profit. When I was still a little noob I started playing with swords and axes. Back in those times you could see many people swinging their axes. I've spend many times with the Allophyl west of Limnadian. Getting better with an Axe 2x0. Bying 4C plates from my desposits, piece by piece. Today I returned to them, I have become stronger, I have a better weapon and I can take more hits. And so do they. It has been nice to get back to them and not only for the loot. I even got a tiny little bit better: Again - I forgot to make a screenshot of what I looted. Now I'll show what I have left so far: ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Ardorj; 04-16-2008 at 20:45. |

Well I will at least read each time you post on this thread, I find it interesting to see the hunting broke down, I really think it is great to see a profit from hunting, I have made profit from hunting but seems more times than none I break even or just under, but this is ok as I still get skill points and those are worth something.
As I have learned more about this game I have been able to change my style of hunting, EX. I will switch to a small arms to do the finish shot instead of hitting it with my mega ammo burn weapons. In the end I have started making more and more profit from hunting just because I have become a smarter hunter. Thank you for putting this post out for all of us to read |
