well there should probably be another thread entitled how to actually profit hunting... @ cp. but it's already crowded enough up there.

profit in game is derived in every profession from players, not from ma. i knew this going in. hunting, mining, crafting, nobody consistantly wins on tt, they say craft dantes or ore amps at some 90% return or less and then make the profit on the sale of the items. same with mining, many a profitable miner looses on tt, and then profits on the sale of his ores.

i did this more to satisfy curiousity on my own behalf and share the results. i wanted to see what my skills and gear could produce on small mobs on a tt in tt out basis.

i have taken a break from hunting small mobs, due to the fact that even tho it's a profit, it's a miserable use of my time. i looted i think one small esi in a week on small mobs. i came down from cp with 12 and sold on auction two large ones i looted while up there.

the hl6 drops of 50-250 ped each are ~137%. farming gazz from drones or iron from argos, you get a little bitty bit per mob. so the movements in markup are larger on the mobs i usually frequent.

irregardless, on markup, i profited on small mobs, on large mobs the profit is steady and consistant.

i believe the statement by hawk that he almost always breaks even or profits is a true statement and i believe my hunting is backing that up as well.

i do not mine. my component crafting is very minimal and i've kept that to a minimum for the past month, as well, but i agree with what you and xen have both said about overall tt results.

so scientifically this thread has probably not proved that when it comes to all activity in game.

no, here's the answer.

look i was very happy to see the results of this project, but since abandoning it, considering the sale of these boots at 35k, this has been a 50k profit month in eu.

i can not continue to spend my time on small mobs when the best thing i looted during that time was a korss.

i do think the 95% return was very, very good. but there are better returns to be had than that in eu and as it was stated early on in this thread, carry 300k of gear on your ava and the 150k in skills to be able to effectively use it and the best use of your time is not killing drones, argos and feffs.
