I guess i will only do those runs that you had a nice return from as well..
So it's either umbra's at the orb or argo/molisk. I think i will go argo/molisk, they are after all my favo mobs and I get to wear mod/pixie for reduced armour decay.

I felt i hadn;t quite done the skippie yet, so i decided i should have another go at it.

this time I will change something: i'm throwing the eco out of the door and will go for low decay+ fast reload

weapon: karma killer (not amped)
300 peds ammo
pixie/5b (the 5b's are there to stay alive against argo hunters)
ek-2350 panic fap

this is how skippie did.. i can't do a 500 peds run (because i don't have em)

you aint hunting the same way if you aint hunting exactly the same way, and even if you did you'll have to consider a bunch of more stuff that may be more important that skills or "eco" gear

If i had to make a conclusion based on 4 hunts (which is scientifically impossible)

I would conclude that winning or loosing is still based on luck in loot.
If you compare the normal loot to that of skippie (without a hof) it's about the same
Also that keeping your decay bill down is as important as hunting as eco as you can
And that hunting with non-sib gear, if it's a good weapon isn't as bad compared to nice eco sib L stuff.

Do Ghost foot guards decay more than the other parts? - the original investment in an item has no bearing over it's economy.

Amping your Maddox IV with Beast amp will improve it's economy.

Maddox IV will last for 290peds ammo.

On Average - yes there's that lovely word again - you will loose alot less using weapons that you can deal the maximum amount of average damage with.. i.e. the calculated, statistically, highest average damage/pec weapon you are skilled enough to use.
