that's correct. MA won't pay more out than did go in. As we have discovered, loot follows some kind of an exponential distribution. So you will have many small loots, some high, and rarely some very high ones. With such a distribution it will be very hard to break even in short time. However, one of the results is that you can break even getting globals. That's what players already know.

So all is aimed for a long run. Nevertheless, there is still a probability to get a large hof in the first runs. Since costs are linear, this will let you play for quite some time. Check the globals thread to see how happy those avas can be.

Awesome analysis, congratulations. I always had though that the loot is going on some kind of exponential curve, and as your analysis tell, it certainly goes.
Can it be a logarithmic one?, being globals, hofs and ath's belonging to another more randomised function?

I disagree. EU is not a very complicated system. The viewer may get this view, but actually the code must be quite simple and fast.
I also disagree the analysis in small parts. I prefer to analyse the different systems in work in EU in total for each system, and try to analyse the relation between them if existing. Subdividing to much leads to fragmentation and to many pieces of the puzzle.
If all systems would be in calculation directly in code at any given time, it would mean a stress on the servers and server database of such size that it would be impossible for more then 10-20 ppl to be active in the system.
I could explain my views and discoveries about the EU "dynamics" but I'm still experimenting and nobody want to read a 50 page reply I guess.
Although I must say that the micro analysis done by some ppl here can give me more insight in my own theories, either supporting them or contradicting them. the latter being more productive since every good theory must stand the fire-test.
