i know for sure that scopes and lasers increase the average damage done by a weapon whether its maxed or not. some ppl i know tested this with a dmg logger a year or 2 ago. the difference is slight so you wont notice unless you get a total average. i would think they also increase your hit% and crit% but we didnt get around to testing it (crit was alot harder to test aswell they were mostly included in the averages aswell).

i thought everyone knew about this already heh =)

i garantee this and if osmeone makes a damage logger im sure there is a boatload of ppl willing to test to make sure (unless you take my word for it ofc lol)

Reread Goni's post. We're talking skill gains, not loot. We know skill gains are highly influenced by decay spent. Loot, well... We're just reasonably sure.

A) There is a damage logger, and no, a boatload of people have not come out of the woodwork to use it (sadly). It's not particularly useful as a damage logger because damage is a uniform distribution, both from mobs and from weapons, but it is useful to keep track of misses, and was made for that purpose. It's linked to in the thread about attachments that several people linked to earlier in this thread.
B) Weapon damage and mob damage follows a uniform distribution ("random"), as has been proved every time someone claims otherwise. You'd think "everyone knew this already", but apparently there are some that don't. A corollary to the distribution being uniform is that skill bonus attachments don't affect damage.

Of course getting two friends to start playing the game at same time may be not a very easy task .........

Hi all, I wonder what you think about putting pressure on MA to reveal all the effects of attachments on maxed weapons... I mean, Isn`t this non-telling - no info on stats, somehow legally wrong, we are actually paying for the service with unknown result/effectivness or w/e... someone with a bit of legal knowledge should be able to squezze them on this issue me thinks.

Btw, thx to all for bringing this up, I remember Recoda making this kind of thread also, many other out there probably also. Kinda really important thing with no resolve, still.

LOL, Im not bitter at all... It should be known what effect have some tool you use, no?! I think Its no big deal for MA to add this info in stats of weapons..., dunno. It just seems this is another one of those things that Its not on their "priority list".
