i must say i like all these changes MA does to the game really, makes me play alot less and spend my money elsewhere instead. Keep it up i say

lol yes MA wants you to depo, if you can't do that you have to play with smaller mobs. it was the same whine about allo's, esto's and ambus last VU and now everyone seems to love them. there is more globals on them like never before, so it's not that strange that MA decided to make feffs and atrox regen faster, next VU we will see argos with faster regen..

I fail to see how this is a drawback for new players.
I still remember and long back to the time when you still where exploring.
Everything was new.. You had no idea on how hard mobs where..

Remember seeing my first hogglo on Eudoria.. Thinking, hey.. thats a huge freaking cow....... DEAD..

I still remember getting caught on evil outpost and how i tried to outrun evil mobs from there.

There are plenty of areas where you can hunt as a noob... Its like a freeway from PA to Camp Pheonix all the way to Twin peaks... If you are just a little bit carefull you'll manage all the way easily.. Then you can head north upwards to forth fury and so on.. Atlas Haven... Just be carefull..

Why should you be able to do everything from the second you join the game?
Arent you supposed to have some kind of development trouhgout the game?

Its the same thing in other games... Take WoW for example, you sure as hell wont be able to survive in blackrock spire at lvl 5.. thats why you should grind your way trough stormwind forrest...

I think to many players have such a rush to progress in this game...
Why should you be able to do everything at once?

Slow down people, you will get your skills in time... Whats the problem with hunting berrys, exa, drones, argos?

I remember the first time I was able to solo an atrox young and the sense of achievement I got from it.

Ok, so the people who were able to hunt atrox and now can't might be a little bummed but those that are still running away from atrox (and failing) do not know how difficult an atrox is, the majority of people posting in this thread seem to be looking at it from their own perspective, whereas the people who are really affected by this do not even know it yet.

once they are able to solo that atrox young there will have the same sense of achievement as I did, it'll just take a little longer for them to achieve it.

good point! I dunno if the threadstarter has been thinking about this, probably not, if new players never killed an atrox before how can this change be bad for them? it does cost more peds to kill an atrox but they can chose not to kill and stick with a lower mobs untill they have gear high enough to kill efficiently.

Ha i remember trox youngs and trying to get from that outpost south of Zychion to Zychion. I also remember those evil tantillions chasing me down and killing me when i tried to get to the legendary oil rig from Twin.

Styrm and Radio make good points. My first encounter with a molisk was much like what a new player will experience with a feff, and i don't think it's bad. I did much of my hunting at Atlas North, and that's still a perfectly safe and good hunting ground for complete noobs, as is, i think, the area around PA itself.

Atrox, Maffoids and Feffoids are all over Eudoria, they are very common mobs, and they are very often mixed in into the huntings grounds of lesser skilled participants. Leaving "complete newbie" status was often defined as to be able to kill one's first Atrox young solo.

Just some days ago a new aspiring participant, using M/P 2a or M/P3a was able to kill the single hungry Atrox young that blocked his way. Was able to kill the mad Maffo Bandit defending the big Snables. Was able to kill the annoying Feffo outcast that spawned between his Faucervix. Killing those was hard, but possible.

He cannot kill them anymore now with his gear. They regenerate faster now than he damages them. Which means the areas where they might spawn are "no-go" now. For our new aspiring participant. He simply doesn't get the about 45 Dam/sec needed now to kill those critters.

Means our new aspiring participants are now cut from a lot of their previously usable skilling grounds. I don't think this helps us all.

This is exactly the "Uber mindset" I hate - even before the VU I had no chance in hell to kill even an Atrox Alpha, beware a Stalker, even in full Gremlin/5B & H400/a103 - I not even talk about my nearly 5K in LB and my Determination ... Seems some ppl have suffered major brain damage skilling on acid pools and chirpies years ago ...

However, i see what you are getting at BUT ... look at it this way. Had it been like this from the start, im pretty sure today would all look the same. Im not sure the fact trox, maffs and feffs didnt regen had anything to do with EU making it and becoming what it is today.

"ok please just let me pull this shit off and ill never shoot one of these again".

Just like i remember going:
"armax cow... good, bull no thanks... trox SHIT *dead*"

To hunt the regenerating mobs, you dont really need better armor... more skills or a bigger gun. Of course all of those are good and will help, but for these mobs teaming them is the way to go now. And maybe its not such a bad idea having "solo" and "team" mobs.
