drones/robots set up ...

Was curious what a good set up for drones/robots are is protection better than damage or vice versa ....

Current set up:
Ghost w/6a
Lvl 22 Laser rifle/pistol
lvl 17 BLP rifle/pistol

I was told to get vigi, will the armor set help that much? or should I wait until I get higher dmg?

Currently using active SIB weapons:

LR41- Lsr rfl
Mina-BLP rfl
Mina- BLP pst
???- Lsr pst <-- forget off the top of my head and out of town right now


Any advice - current set up I get owned by Gen 7s but can tank 1-4 I don't think I have seen 5 or 6 gen yet <----- DRONES

I have run across a warrior and got him down to 1/2 befor the crit came


Currently lvl 3 in Dodger and 4 or 5 in evader.


Any advice please

If You get owned by generation seven drones with that setup... I think You would consider getting a fap... fap-80 should be enough

Your damage is fine, and if you really want to hunt warriors and survive crits of higher level drones, consider getting Vigi

get vigi drones upto 6 only hit me for 1.0

so i can have like 5-6 drones on me at once and handle it no probs

I use Rascal+6A not much difference in protection than your current setup, but it does cut down your costs. I used vigi once without the 6As but went back to Rascal+6A as I tended to still pay less after a hunt. Ive read some people disagree with this tho.

I would suggest EK-2350. When my level was similar to your own, with Rascal+6A and the 2350 I could even take on the Gen 08 and Warriors up to about Gen 04~06.

Use the 2350 sparingly tho. Theres only like 1 or 2 Gen 07/08 at places like Jason so using the 2350 just for those is a good idea and like someone suggested above a Fap-80 for other drones.

rascal and 6a... yeah or kobolt with 6a or Hunter with 6a

then you dont pay the "high" price for Vigi and hunt a little bit mor with that money. For myself i had Kobolt with 6a a fap 2350 (but higher decay) and fap 80! i think its a nice combo.

Your setup is fine for low-mid robots, but your dodger level is low for higher maturities.

i have shogun+6a and a fap80. i do real well. i also have vigi, but unless i am attacking a very high level warrior, it seems like over protection.

i don't have a lot of dodge, but apparently enough. i use a riker ul3.

Id say keep yer setup as it is paid for.. no need for more expenses..Take some time off from bots and go skill dodge on the bristlehogs at TI..they loot decent items when they drop items and the dodge gains seem to be a tad more frequent then low level bots.

Alot will disagree here specialy the eco freeks but I think Ghost and 5b,6a plates are all you should need in EU for the average player..after you have higher evade /dodge/ weapon/ faps skills you can upgrade for larger Semi uber mobs. for about the first 2 years skilling Ghost works..better eco on some other armors but you dont end up having 20 sets of armor to buy/ repair/ swap to all the time.

I agree with this statement Ghost with 6a's or 5b's is one of the best set up's. I only bought Vigi for Beacon Missions & i also use my Hunter and 6a's for hunting drones at Jasons. I used to use a FAP 50 & FAP 80 at Jasons there a bit more cheaper to run. But the 2350 is a great FAP i do recommend that you buy one and atleast try it out to see what you think.

i've had my Vigi+6A for ages and can take on any robot i've encountered so far. Whilst it may be "over-protection" in the eyes of some, i've never had another setup to compare. It does the job for me so i don't see the point changing at this stage. If you can afford it, get it, if not then go with one of the suggestions some of these other chaps have made...i'm sure none of us will lead you astray
