Its a truely remarkable Hof Board I grant you. I don't really find it hugely shocking tbh, EU is really streaky, you get a run of big loots quickly and then nothing for ages. Like aridash says, this is just on a different scale to what we observe in our day to day hunting.

Many of us have been here many hundreds of days. Sometimes we'll see a HoF table that looks pretty amazing. This is one of the most amazing I've ever seen for sure. But, well, it doesn't really mean much.

If tomorrow something similar happens, and then the day after, then sure we have to deduce something about the EU loot system has changed, or that some people have figured something big out. But until that happens, its just one remarkable day.

Could even be an update-related bug perhaps. Remember the insane mining Hof day after an update?

Wish I'd hunted drones and spiders yesterday lol. Any guesses for today?

Sometimes I feel that the lootpool gets underallocated (there is a lot of build up) and, just before a VU change sometime s it has to get rid of excess loot. Any way it can. That's one explanation i didn't mention in the thread looking at the odd occurrence that two low-activity avatars could hit the two biggest hofs in months...i never discussed the point "the two aurli ath's were dumping excess ped out of the loot pool" - it was sheer moments before the new VU (in relative terms) remembering back then we had months without update (unheard of!). There may be a similar occurrence here - MA perhaps expected many more people to be hutning drones for the coins...and had to forcibly go "HEY OI YOU LOOK HERE COME GET A DAMN COIN" by dropping some hofs. Another die note...maybe this guy that nobody has heard of is an experienced hunter to contrinue to hunt knowing how globals and hofs are triggered and being able..

Or maybe just dumb luck .

The spider hofs? well they are 15 minutes apart. That could have been 5 mobs or less in between - adding gumption to the pseudotheory of "globals trigger more globals"

A similarly unbelievable occurence did happen early on in 9.2 - remember two krelt ATH's same day? Different avatars, different time, but once again very close together. I guess if someone could work out the signals and had the equipment and skills they could take full advantage of such an observation - I unfortunately discovered i can no longer surive dome 3 cp... I tried... few hours later dome is spammed with hofs i wasn't able to get due to fap, gun, health, evade.

I love reading threads like this these days and watching people freak out and complain about how someone got something they did not.

I personally see nothing wrong with any of the examples that have been posted here.

I guess people still believe in loot pools, this, that and the other.

That is all good and fine, but how you think the loot system may work, may not be right;

And what you are actually seeing from what someone has achieved is actually correct

Anyhow, carry on, it is great entertainment

Who is saying nobody has heard of him?

He's in a soc with some pretty well known players, and his Tracker record shows him to be pretty high up on the activity scale.

GRATZ to the hunters that managed this HoFs in such short time.

I would be very happy if this happen to me, but I would also be happy if its only one of this HoFs.

If I take a look at my last few hunts, I know where such big loots come from.
A lot off players make loss on hunts, and this sums up in the lootpool. Sometimes one has to have this big lucky loot, and I always hope that it is me

Note the wording that my argument assumes he is heard of and the statement "nobody has heard of " is a precedent to set up the argument. The people claiming it is some sort of random occurence are by default taking the position he got the hofs via dumb luck. As you will notice "nobody has heard of, but he knows what he is doing" is a conflicted statement(in context of EU), and hence used to move the argument forward to conclusion. Just thought that needed clearing up that the view "nobody has heard of" is the veiw of the secondary theoretical party, not my own (hence my statements of theory following that comment.
