Well I know someone that took two years before they got their first global and in two and half years I've had 1 hof.

You have to throw money at any activity in EU to get anywhere now.

I don't get it. This game has to be ava based, if this is true. I steadily make a dribble of profit from unamped CND mining, and have never gone down with a loss. I do small deposits very occasionally.

I dont realy believe in avatar based luck. I think its just a matter of breaking a pattern you follow. I am not sure what exactly you are doing wrong, but something i can think of is to find more hunting areas. When you hunt fefs, where do you hunt them?

1, even 2k, boms without a global is rather common, unamped.

I've never heared of anyone using 10k bombs with only one global, though. But it's also a question of how spread out they were, and what you did when you didn't drop bombs.

I too often wish people luck and they Uberhof. Several months ago
I wished a 3 day noob 'Good Luck' within 1 minute he got a 1.2K Ped
Daikaba. About a week later I said 'Good Luck' to a 3 week new
player and within 20 minutes he got a 1.4k Ped Kerberos. I told one
of my Society mates about it that night, and told him 'Good Luck' and
sure enough within a minute or so he got an UberHof More recently
a Society mate on CND was saying mining wasn't going well, I talked to
him for a minute, and he got an 1K Ped Lyst. The next night we started
the exact same dialouge and within a minute, he got an 8K Lyst Tower
Another Society mate says Loots usually improve when I tell him 'Good
Luck'. Only problem, It doesn't work for me I've been playing
for 3.5 years now, and have yet to get an UberHof. My best loot was
over 3 years ago and was a 572 Ped Oil deposit.

Mate, I've been in this game for about 3 years. First I did some hunting in team, than started mining when I was left alone in game (my fiancee who I play with couldn't play with me). I discovered mining and this is what I do.

My avatar seems to be a miner, anything else I do sucks. I lost track of my mining HoFs (I know it doesn't sound good and I don't write it to show off, this is true)... I had tower, 1 more over 1kped tt, 4 or 5 over 600ped claims and lots of things between 250-500ped... rest I calculate as globals. I am usually mining unamped.
As for hunting, I did some team hunts and I hunt alone. I had 1 HoF in team of two on a drone - 900ped, my biggest single loot was 142ped on Warrior. It took me almost 2 years to hit first solo global in hunting and by that time I was not a fresh noob that just left the ladning place, believe me.
I can do Hogglos myself, I try to kill argos (can do all maturities), I kill troxes, traxes, ambus, feffs and if I hit one global for 2 weeks this is good. Most of my hunts end with 30-50% return rate which is later eaten by the decay. So when I do 100ped hunt I must be sure I can loose all I spend on ammo.

It seems hunting isn't for me. I loose peds on it like hell. When I go mining I make up for the lost peds

I think this is true that each avatar has some path it should follow and this path is the best thing to do for ava. I know people who love to hunt, but they loose on it and later they craft to make for the lost peds so they can go hunting again.

Some are born hunters, some are not. But I think that the number of bombs you dropped (if that is from the start) is just to small to say if you are a miner. What prospector and miner level are you? For me 10k bombs is something to drop within month or less. On CND this would be 2 weeks or a bit less I think..... Dropping this number of bombs in such a long time means you did some mining trips, but did you get the knowledge of the good areas? Did you skill up to use better seekers like 211(L) at least?
