10.000 boms spread over 2 years is rather a low amount of bombs.

eg.: I started to mine again after I chipped out some mining skills and I used 10.000 bombs in about 3-4 weeks *no amps* (wich still is not a huge amount). Unless you are willing to use big amps.. mining globals will not occur that much (not talking about return, just about globals).

as for hunting: hunt as long as possible in one session. You will notice that every certain period of time a mini global pops up (or a global).. then it goes down again... up again.. using 100 ped ammo is fine when using an opalo on exa / snable / daik.. but it is economical suicide when hunting feff.. drones... argo.. allo.. trox... .

I have +- the same hunting skills like you and I globalled 200+ times (I lost count in january) had about 3 solo HOF's... and I play on a limited budget (not taking team gobals / HOF's into account)

The best advice, when loot is low and stays low, just stop your hunting session... if it is not going to drop, it is not going to drop. Recognise bad loot trends as FAST as possible and adjust.

First of all, I am sorry to hear this man, let me tell you some things that work for me while hunting and mining. I hunt and mine at the same time when I do big mobs. Also I mine unamped and do 100 bomb runs on my 3 fast-spawn zones per day. Took me many bombs to find them. I hunt when I have time(usually at the office lol) and do 20k ammo runs with 14k on korss400 and 6k on justymk2(I like the skill flow-and those are things I can only afford)

Now, I sometimes dont global on a day, but this only happens when I play very small, like 1-2 hrs. If you make only a single run on an area, you leave the global to pure chance. Globalling regularly is persistance in my opinion. Killed the bad spawn? you were unlucky. But logging out is equal to big loss then. You must try another run and see things may differ. It doesnt change? Then change mob. Bad again? I log out for that day and open a beer

You can understand what I will say next if you are an old player:The loot screen in times when you get back-to-back globals or profitable runs are not the same when you get bad loots right? Lots of no loots(attention here!),30-40 ammo and lots of 1 oil in loot window? 30-40 animal hides instead of 100+? then you may hit a big one(%10 chance) or lose big(%90). What you can do:
1-If you are camping that mob and looking for an item, you may shoot those spawn and pray the next spawn after them may be better
2-Change mob
3-Other

If you have peds, I say camp one mob and camp them in a fast spawn area, there is no need to re-explore America! Ithaca for Trox-Fury for Feff-Nymph for Argo, etc. You see in the long run things might get better.

btw, if you always have a positive attitude and post only pro mindark stuff in here, your loot will improve. Just be happy and praise Mindark and your loot will improve! Or become a mindark ambassador and your loot will improve. Pick teamnames like `we love Mindark` and you will global more.

You are probably hunting lower level mobs, try some high regen ones.
And dont avoid to get hit, dude, only sissies are afraid to get hit

And maybe make some notes of your return rate, could very well be that you get a lot of minis and have a good return rate. Globals are nice, but one can get addicted to them (like me) and they can cost dearly

That's kind of a valid point. A little while ago someone posted words to the effect of "It's foolish to persist with something that 'doesn't work' for you. If you keep doing a set 'thing' and it's crappy then change that 'thing' and keep changing it until you find a pattern that works".

Players have often raised the idea that being too eco is detrimental to your return - if loot is tied to how much you spend to kill something then that might make sense. As I mentioned in my reply to you in my Coolness thread about level 33-34 I was still using the P5A. This was for economy reasons and saving money was definitely my priority - the problem was that skill gains and loot seemed to be on a real downer. When I started using the HL11 and put economy on the back-burner it was like a door to getting lots of globals had been opened. Ironically while I had been worried about losing a fortune spending more while hunting actually increased my 'nice returns'.

There's very little in PE that can be said with much certainty and with new hunting-styles come new risks but if you're unhappy with the current situation you're in keep trying different things. Variety is the spice of life!

I suggest you to find a hunting partner :

You will be able to hunt bigger, you will reduce your armor decay, fap decay, reduce the regen of the mobs wich nearly always loot, be able to do longer run so better probability to get something good, kill as much and fast as possible so better probability to be on "the list of whom will hof".
And of course go after the markup items, don't expect to make money from MA

200 hours sounds reasonable to me, if one concentrates only in one profession.
Eco hunting is like eco craftin for skills.
One gets skills but not very much and it is damn slow.
For me higher refire rate gives me more skill gain, ammo burn seems to be secondary.

Getting globals is not that difficult, simply hunt most uneconimcal possible and you will get some. If you like the swirlies like me, they are worth more than "profit" in loot, because I enjoy every one of them.
And they come with a nice pricetag each time.
For "normal" play it is better to have a steady return rate, but it is good to know for events how one can get a global.
Like others stated, everyone must find out on his own what works for him, the is no handbook, only hints.

Well, I guess you're not hugely active really. I find my loot profile seems to change a bit depending how active I am so could be something like that is affecting things.

Well if you wanted a list of mobs that global less than the average, that pretty much covers it for me. feffs, drones, molisk, bristles, argo all drop regular markup in decent amounts and I find I get longer spells without globals on them, than on similar mobs that don't drop as much markup.

Well, 80%-120% isn't bad at all, so no I wouldn't say you're unlucky. I'd say because you have fairly low activity maybe you have a less volatile loot than others do, which means you're getting a more consistent return but less big individual loots.

Just my guess though.

i agree totally!!!i was in the same situation as you!!!i was and i am huter but i do mining and this period i do mostly crafting! i have very nice results from my changebut i don't stop hunting ...we go team hunts,in events etc!!
i thnk that i have to choose a profession but lke me all!!!
