Since the latest FireForge SGH 2200 was sold in September 2006 I guess it's value have increased a bit... I guess it's worth more than bravos nowadays...

But you might afford a Marber Echo-Type Plasma Annihilator, Those are sold for tt+200 rather than the +500 for bravos, and they still have a range of 150 meters...

Or a Lichter Carbine or Lichter Hunting Carbine Both with a range of 145 meters, which, according to PE auction should sell for tt+ 95 and tt+195...

The FireForge is not sold this year, ingame markup says +65,19 but don't expect to find one for +500 or maybe even +1000.

Bravo is also going up in price, don't know how much you have to spend but both are good taggers, for tagging and as investment.

I always use my FF8000, one of the best things i ever bought, but it got it's price (but that will probably go up)

Brave ME+a102 is by far the best option as a "starter" tag gun.. use it for lower agro mobs with dense spawns. - ; ) very eco option for what it is.

upgrade to a Bravo after that.

or skip both and "invest" in a Fireforge any you can find. - ; )

buy a scope and a couple lasers for whatever you decide.

but also take a look at the Punisher MkI or MkII if you want a bit more dmg than the brave ME provides.. (cheaper a103 amp for the MkII)

None have been sold for a long time, so it's hard to fix a price. There was some discusison in this thread as well:

[pc] Ff - Sgh 2200m

For a quick cheap and low damage tag gun it's not bad at all. Fairly low cost of use, and the decays great as well. True, you hit a mob with it the damage is often low, and the mob has regenerated it by the time it reaches you. Probably wouldn't get that as much with say a Marber, but I've always considered that:
-It's a laser rifle, and so contributes to relavent skills (assuming you skill laser)
-Costs less per shot than the marber. so if you miss you 'waste' less PED.

Only issue is that they are kind of hard to find, especially ones for sale. To be honest you can probably do better for your money nowadays. As people have mentioned, there is a Marber (range + damage) or the rocket launcher. Rockets aren't a bad idea, since it's probably the cheapest option available for a 'tagger'. But often the reason poeple want to tag mobs is to get a single one out of a herd - which is hard to do with area effect damage.

So realy you're probably going to be looking at an A&P Brave ME as the cheapest non-L option, then perhaps a Marber, and finally a Fire Forge as the most expensive. Think at the moment the cheapest marber is the Echo at around +500. Before I got any real long range rifles, I used the Brave ME, and can say it works pretty well. Really not bad to tag low end stuff, but suppose later on you may want to be looking at something with a little more range.

not real at all.......absolutely full of crap in most cases.

Sometimes close in ore prices and steady market stuff however it is mostly great for telling us how easy it was to buy uber stuff 1 year ago

It must go on an overall average? (PE WIKI)??

Pathetic really and I only use it sparingly.

Edit - opinion based on PEauction prices that are worse than Wiki.

The cheapest pulling gun is still marber bravo, altough it seems to change, it becomes less affordable these days. Still, price is advantage over other long range guns. Yes, you will get Plasma Weaponry Technology skill instead of LWT, but it won't hurt you a lot. At least not after few years ;P Rv50 is quite usefull too and gives skills with good markup. And it's the cheapest long range weapon available now. With some misadvantages (damage radius) and advantages (thanks to radius of damage you don't even have to see the mob you want to pull, e.g. something in rocky terrain with hills).
And there is one problem with long range laser guns: they are rare and thus quite expensive...
If u need tagging only weapon, A&P should do at the beginning. If you need some "softener" too, think about A3 Justifier MKII.
