That reminds me of my fastes mining HoF. Dropped a probe, got 68ped "hof" on alicenies. By the time I got to claim to make a screen with a HoF list it was gone
![]() This sort of things happen all the time and it is a bit unfair that MA can't fix HoFlist in some way. As other stated, there are ways of doing it.... |

Actually I don't think it would be that hard to program either. However the management of the data would be awful. You would have to keep a sorted list of all globals, check the list every time there is a new global, keep track of the time of every global and remove them as they expire, re-write the HOF screen when one goes off and one of the old ones comes back on. They would be polling the DB table all the time. All those things would be the nightmare I think, not to mention the processing time used to keep track of all of that.

I have seen a 55ped HOF, I have had a 101ped HOF, I have had a 250ped global.
it is all back to the updating of the list (as everyone has already posted) My real #1 HOF got kicked out after 24 hours (when it was at #5) and gave room for another 50ped HOF. HOFs are just funny names for globals realy and has nothing to do with how much peds go out to the playerbase. ATH is more fun though ![]() same with the global tracker, it could be a great tool, but I do not think that the comunity has all the numbers required to realy take advantage of it (numbers of players during sertain times, number of hunters hunting sertain mobs, registered players, active players and so on) |

Has anyone else noticed the occasional instance when there are only 98~ hofs on the list but you (or someone else) globals and it doesn't register as a hof?
It's happened to me at least once but I've seen others global while the list has a space, it's a bit odd... The only thing I can think of that might be relevant is a few months ago Konve and I were looking at a couple of hofs on the list and our lists were out of sync. His had an entry (or two?) that mine did not; maybe some aspects of the hof list is synced at different times for different users and these slight discrepancies mean that these globals haven't registered as hofs because although your "client hof list" says their's space the "master hof list" says otherwise. Not sure any of that made sense ![]() |

Quote:
Not everyone's HoF list is 100% up-to-date with everyone elses. I have noticed on a few occassions when talking to a society mate, that we both were looking at a HoF number on the HoF list and on mine it was position 40 and on his it was position 42; The difference being I had recently logged in and he had been online for an hour or so already out hunting. So I guess that does occur, HoF list update syncs must occur periodically or upon a triggered event, eg. Entering a town or using a TP, arriving back at a revival terminal etc. ~ Sparkz |
