What gear is needed to kill an Atrox young now?

I looked at the Atrox information on Entropedia, and it doesn't seem up to date with the latest mob changes. I'm considering trying to hunt Atrox young, and I would like to ask the community what kind of gun (damage per second) and what kind of armor is recommended for hunting them now. I currently hunt without armor, so I have no idea about armor eco.

Also, are there stats on how much HP they have now, and if their regeneration rate has also been increased?

I have 3.4k rifle skills and would be using L laser carbines to hunt. Thanks for your help!

I do a lot of hunting south of Ithica. Here's the setup I use.

Armor: Gremlin +2a's
Weapons: Apis+Dante, Svempa X1+Dante, or CB26+Dante with Svempa 60 finisher
Fap: Against Young-Old no fapping required, 2600 for Provider-Alpha

This setup works well for me at level 19 Evader and ~135 Health.

to kill a trox young you need ep40, korss h400, mk2, lr32 +a103,a104, goblin/pixie no plates, fap: ek2350, fap-80.

I can kill atrox young without armor (since the atrox changes) - have yet to come across a situation when I need to try that on the other maturaties.

I use a P5a or HL6 (maxed) with A105 and FAP110 to keep me going when I run across mobs when I am naked.

I got about 60 agility and can't recall the other stats offhand.

Alot will depend on the fap you use I think.

For low cost way i'd say breer m2a (slow as hell) or a riker ul3 or breer m4a with shogun plated with 2a.

Given their current regenration rate, I would not use a breer m2a or a riker ul3, it will take forever to kill them. Should be doable with korssH400+A104 shogun and 2600.

I'm not personally a fan of the P5A/Korss 400 for the high regen mobs. It seems to me that you spend at least 2 to 3 peds more in ammo on each mob than if you used a higher damage per second weapon. Whether or not the saved ammo negates the higher markup on the bigger DPS weapons, I have no idea, but I can tell you for sure that it's a whole lot more fun to tear through them in seconds than to spend minutes killing just one.

Can't believe the low dmg/s suggestions here, are you really using those for killing trox? after the regen change?
Is it even possible to kill them with an m2a now?

maybe young is... but definitely on the sanity line.

South of ithaca I've used LR48(L) a lot, seems to work pretty nice.

Thats mostly young-prov...

Tried using p5a/k400, but man... feels like I have to kill them twice.. well, not really, but thats _a_lot_ of regen.

As for armor, no difference there, they still do the same dmg at the same rate.
Maybe just a bit more important to dont over-protect. (specially if you insist on using p5a/k400 or below)

edit: Ok, the thread explicitly ask for only atrox young. I guess p5a/k400 could be ok for those with a nice amp...

Thanks for the advice everyone!

Based on the suggestions, it looks like I'll need to start evaluating the tradeoffs between armor decay and fap decay and then start doing a little shopping.

Just for kicks, I might go try my lr32+a104 to see how fast I can take one down.

Hey, you forgot to mention unamped Opalo.

Just wondering, what weapon do you use when hunting snables? Is there any weapon that gives so little damage that it would equal to the time it would to kill an Atrox with an M2a?
