This thread was presented in Entropia-Pioneers , and i though might as well present it here as well ![]() i just want to share some statistic regarding huntingskills after 1 week of 8 hours a day huntingtripps i used Mk5 and a Shortblade lvl 10 and a 2600 Fap, location Limidan . Hunting Allophylls/estophylls, wich after some testing gave best skills to me.. My skills are just above 3k and here you can see how hard it is to gain skill in the new system. Tusday ----> Today Allertness: 7400 --> 7400 Athletic: 6387 --> 6388 Combat Reflexes: 5260--> 5265 Courage: 5371 --> 5373 Aim : 5341--> 5342 Anatomy: 4181--> 4226 Evade: 4299 --> 4301 Avoidance : 3009 --> 3011 First Aid : 3324 --> 3332 Diagnosis : 3262 --> 3264 Medicine: 839 --> 858 Mele Combat : 4359--> 4370 Rifle : 3735 --> 3797 Short Blade: 3322--> 3397 Martial Arts: 1670 --> 1748 Mele Dmg Asess: 1195--> 1452 It seems only the primary skills moves abit, but all secondary skills almost stand still.. As you can see , some skills hardly move after 1 week of 8 Hours a day hunting tripps. if we take the Evade skill as an example, i have gained 2 lvls in 1 week. That is 8 lvl in a month, 96 lvl in a year..it will take me 10 year to get 960 lvls, lmao....if i want to reach 9k..it will take me 60 Years!!! This really shows that MA MUST rebalance this skillsystem!! |

I can see how annoyed you must be, but I can also see what MA are doing
So far, it's been pretty easy to gain masses of skills, for very little effort if you know how What that means is that the rich get uber pretty damn quick In all the other MMORPGs, they pay a fixed monthly fee, and slowly but surely skill upto a reasonable level, and then progress very slowly Here in the UK it averages about £15 - £30 a month for a prescription game - thats roughly $25 - $60 USD I think what MA want to do, is to lower the amount each individual player deposits, in order to play as they like (minus getting vast skills for nothing), so that far more players will actually enter Let's face it - I could dump £200 - £300 a week easily to play how I would like to, but if that's the case, how many new players would MA get? PE needs to have LOTS more players.... thousands more regular players. That way, it can grow for real Let's face it... MA say they have >250,000 accounts Let's take a look at that I'll be generous, and only suggest that 9 out of 10 of those were ppl interested after the TI coverage - that leaves 25,000 Now, how many avatars do we reckon each player averages? In all honesty I would be willing to bet it's around 3 - that takes it down to 8k5 players Knock off another 10% for others who came across the game, and decided to dl it (not from TI) - that leaves 7k players 20% non-depositing traders - leaves 5k5 Those that only play once a week, low deposits - 30%? That leaves 4000 players, who deposit quite a chunk of cash between them all We all know that's a fair estimation, as we play regularly, and actually *see* the numbers of players in (or NOT in) PE at any time This new way, we could get so many more players, that PE would be a real joy to play </End Ramble> |

I made the same experience. Hells, why should it be different? And that is the only positive point. Of course I "bought" my higher skills with a lot of time and PEDs investment but that was my own desicion. Now I have changed my game strategy. I desided to stop deposting and I try to break even with my knowledge and little bit luck and I will not look any longer an my skills. Changes of PE results in changes of the gameplay. Sometimes it hurts but this is another speciality that I like in this game |

Sorry SirFluidHat, gotta ask, did you hunt in a team on any of these trips? Or did you just hunt easy stuff like Allos (always see you there)?
Yet again, I was on a hunt with a few soc mates, killing whatever we saw west of Fort Troy. We killed Spider Doms, AoA, Warriors, etc. and I was gaining tons of skills. Like I've said in all of my other posts: HUNT IN TEAMS |

if what you posted is not a level slowdown - 60 years to get 9k in evade is a bit extreme....
before we had a choice - spend lots of time or money on chips and you can get there in reasonable time. (I am 6month into it and my general skills are about 30%below yours and some professional ones are about the same)... so it was fun... it is still fun but the depressing to know that you can never hunt some mobs (teams dont count) or become an arch master lol I hope that will be adjusted somehow. imo game should expend in content to accomodate more and more people with high skills moving them off the medium arena (space exploration and stuff), not setting an unbrakable barriers as it does look now... i suppose my feeling is that if the situation you outlined is permanent then it is like "beating" all levels in PS2 games... not at 9-10k but at 3k Last edited by fresco; 06-01-2005 at 17:00. |

Yes i did some testings before i ended at the Allo/Esto place.. was Hunting Hispidus in team and didnt get more skills then on the allo/Estos, i also tried alone with Neuconos/Atrox Dominant, Alphas,..Scaraboreas, Olds/providers ect..and i didnt notice any difference compared to Allos/Estos,i think its not only the items and how though mobs are that decide how much Skillgains you get, it seems its more like . what mobs suits your current skills and items, but i am not 100% on that either. I think we need more Stats from alot of players that we can analyze. |
