I am thinking Argos would become no longer Opalo food... This means the chance for someone entering this game to Global would be a fraction of what it actually is right now. Yeah thats a way to encourage more people to join EU and deposit...

Ok, just got an idea. How about making weapon amplifiers skill dependant just like mining amps? So before 2k rifle 102 would be max, before 3k rifle 103 would be max and keep going up to 6k rifle for 106...

Think of the guns(and the use they get in ammo) in the game like Lottery tickets to the Lootpool. We can sell a lot of tickets at 1 PED. We can sell vastly fewer tickets at 100 PED. 1 PED allows EVERYONE to contribute to the Lootpool...100 PED tickets only allows a few to contribute.

Sure, the 1 PED ticket holder will win once in a while, but those who could afford a 100PED tciket can buy 100, 1 PED tickets and have a better chance to win. You have to give all potential ticketholders hope to win the jackpot and you have to give them tickets they can afford.

The lootpoool is a pyramid that needs a large base to make the large payouts. We are not competeing for MA's PED...we are re-distributing our own PEDS...and the fewer that is put in to redistribute, the lower all loots will be no matter what you shoot.

Do the fishermen want to get rid of all plankton? I hope not!

the axe thing is completly different, they removed what 5dmg? about 15%? and its still one of the most economical weapons. A103 is virtually standad fitting on the opalo, providing more damage that the original weapon. it would be an effective 60% cut in damage.

People should bear in mind it is not just the economy number that makes the opalo so widely used but the 10/10 stats.

Wow!! If the TT weapon provides a larger return, why don't you use it? Oh, that's right - it's boring. This is a recurring theme in the discussion about the old Opalo... it allows noobs to suck the loot away from the "more deserving" big spenders. What a crock of BS!! Show me ONE economy that has succeeeded by making it more difficult for the less affluent to advance.

the opalo is for newbies, to get a learning bonus weapon, and to allow eco skilling, this is absolutly ok
but when ppl with far away from 2k rifle still use it, it simply becomes too eco

atm you just live from the ppl who dont use, but how long will this stay?
Very good points here.

They should put a skill cap on the Opalo. I'm sure MA did not intend for or envision thousands of lower level (not newb) players running around breaking even (which still costs MA) or profiting.
