What am I doing wrong?

Well, my way of playing is to pick a destination and make my way to it, killing whatever is on the way. If something starts sticking gold in the loot window, I stay there a while before carrying on. Been playing about 11 months, skills are lb 4k, clubs 2.6k, rifle 2.5k, hg 2.5k, sb 1.5k..... getting about a global a week (strangely seem to be almost guaranteed one after a "larger deposit than normal" goes in lol). First 3 months were pretty dry, but it's been nice since then. Hope your luck improves.

Alright... Well, this new VU has lifted my spirits hunting wise ever so slightly

for the first time ever I actually got a decent loot of about 450 peds on a longu old, also my first time ever on the hall of fame.

I now own an m2875 and abrer lasers, bjorn scope, a105 amp, almost full set of bear armor cept shins which are ghost, and a fap 80

in the future id like to buy a emt kit 2600

As for hunting

What I have now decided to do, is, depending on the weapon, after ive fired about 500 rounds, if the peds ive earned in hunting are not very close to or higher than the peds ive used in ammo, then stop hunting.

Also, if i get more than 2 no loots in a row, as in, if I get a third one, then its not a good place to hunt in.

Especially if it happens continuously

recently on a hunt with longu's i used about 60 peds of ammo with my m2875 and a105, at the end of it I had about 33 peds of loot, i was also getting alot of no loots.

But what seems interesting is that MA seems to have set up a system to "intice" the player to keep hunting even if the loot does seem bad, because every 3rd to 6th mob killed, when the loots are low, id get a better than average loot, like if the average was 1.2 peds, then id get like 2 or 3. (which would not cover the cost of hunting 3 to 6 mobs and getting no loots)

Which I am now also going to use to determine if the loots are bad or not.

As for actuall cycles that this comes in, im not really sure about.

With the time I spend in EU when I hunt, im gonna monitor these kinds of things more and see what happens...

I know that with only about 2.5k average in skills that I shouldnt really expect to profit... Which is why im considering switching to using just limited weapons till my skills hit around 5k average. Fortunatly for me, I also have about 2.3 (or 2.4) average in rifle skills, so any of the limited weapons (pistol or Carbine) I can use effectively at full stats

Only downside is that there are few good limited weapons... and the ones that are good, cost a good amount...

take opalo with amp, a rascal or a close by armour and go spend a week with some mob which u can kill decently quick (to not hit u more than.. 2-3 times). take a reserve of 1k peds with u, with everything full repaired. hunt 4 hours at least a day in that combo. after a week, u should know how to hunt.

regarding ur first question, globaling has absolutely no importance.

Lol, 2 years and 2,5k in HG I play less than 2 months and i have almost 2k in rifle I have one global solo, and one in team. Oh, and 2 esi last weekend

In general I have no problem with the amount of loot I generally get.

I go through bad times (and some are really bad) - but after a deposit and a bit more quality time alone with my Oplao + a104 I usually regain most of the money I deposit into EU.

What I am getting more frustrated about though is the lack of decent items I get in the loot. The most impressive item I have looted is female vigi arms and female gremlin thighs. Both of which dont match my male avatar

I spend lots of time hunting a particular mob for a particular item and still no joy. recently I have camped out with the Snarksnots and hunted them to the point of extinction - only to get a female Kobold Harness - not the male one I was after.

All items I loot are mere TT fodder.

My needs are small MA ... all I want is a male vigi helmet or kobold male harness.

I have played for nearly a year now and have had many globals and 2 very small hofs. My largest loot is 404peds - so a 1k+ loot is next on my wish list.

All that said - I wouldn't be without "Gotham's Finest" in EU

in those 2 years also played as a miner, a crafter, a reseller, and a trader

and I wasnt constantly playing in that time, There were periods where I didnt play for 3 months.

well, there are a couple of thigs that really stand out, in my opinion. of course, my style of playing might be totally different that yours. anyway...

you say you have most of a bear set. that's pretty expensive armour. I'm not sure exactly what the decay is on it, but I'm sure it's not exceptional. is your evade high enough to use this armour effectively? if not, trust me, you will bleed in repair costs. do you have the bear to protect you from hard hitting creatures? if they're hitting you alot, this is likely your biggest problem.

which brings us to the fap-80. I have one of these things, and I hate it. sure, it can heal 32 points but it is expensive to use. my fap-50 is much more economical. do you have the first aid skills to effectively use the fap-80? if not, you are going to be bleeding again. even if you do, I still think fap-80 is too expensive.

is the m2875 your main weapon? if so, at 2K handgun, it's bleeding time again. it's probably fine for use as a panic weapon, though.

so, with all this bleeding going on, it's not a huge surprise that you claim have a poor ROI. finally, seaching for globals is pointless. they just happen on their own. I think you should be more concerned with a good consistent ROI. then again, you are free to choose your own path and some have done well bleeding to loot something with a high premium associated with it to make up or even profit from their losses.

Not nice to laugh at people as you will always find someone able to put you down the same way. I have been playing for a couple of weeks longer than you and I have 3.5k LB and 3k rifle with 11 solo globals and one team as well as a number of esi. But it means nothing as you have no idea who often he plays or for how long.

Well, my issue is not really with breakin even, its just the fact that ive gotten so few globals....

but, yeah, i do realize im losin alot with repairs


with the limited time i usually have to play, i just wanna go out there, shoot some mid to high level mobs, and have fun...

but the amount of peds im losing is gettin to me...

So, ive decided to revert to huntin with opalo or the pistol from TT, and just hunt low level mobs for awile, see how it goes.

But, Im also gonna look deeper and analyze whats goin on when im hunting...
