So normally i stick mobs my size, say amblux young-mature
longus etc. .. mkII nemesis worthy stuff the loot is generally average..highs and lows with a fair general return but once in a while a soc mate an I team up to work some big mobs like formicadas, hogglo etc.... and what it seems that on these big mobs the average loot return is shit. basicly unless you global, and/or get a nice drop you lose others have the same experience? |

Bigger mobs = longer time to kill, and if you dont have really good weapons they take even longer. Longer time to kill a mob = less killed mobs which leads to bigger chance of no looters and crappy loot. Unless you have the weapons to kill them in an efficient way stay away from them
But it is also as vedder said, bigger mobs = bigger risk but at the same time bigger risk of good loot. ![]() |

most importantly for me big mobs give you even a tiny chance of looting a nice TT+ value item |

Average loot is not worse, but since the big loots a very big, most of the other loots sucks. Hunting big mobs, you can both lose bigger and profit bigger. |

remember too pretty much only the big mobs give out ATH.
Look at the ATH list for hunting and you see most of them with 1-2 exceptions are all uber mobs. so there it goes the bigger risk, but also the chance to get a fat ATH. The bigger mobs too have higher chance of looting something like shadow, eon, angel, supremacy and such. Even if for a while you might be able to get some parts like angel or some shadow parts off of lower mobs you still would need to hunt the big ones for a chance to comlete a whole set |

there is 2 things :
species and maturity , and both work same. More the species is big and more the loot suck.More the maturity is big and more the loot suck. Hunting baby snable is more secure for loot than hogglo old alpha. As a matter of what you found , kinda all species have good things in the stomack ( beside som very very noob mobs). Never forget , mod fapp on feff , MM on feff , imp fap on molisk, mod ter on ambu , shadow ambu argo .... There is godzillion good item on average species that can be kill by evryone , and even the young can loot them. |

Some high level mob loots are just ridiculous. Like formidon and chompers, in avarage they drop about 1-5 ped. Thats about the same as a small troxie. Usually when i hunt formidon i loose about 400 peds on a 500 ped hunt unless i global/hof which actually is very seldom. So yes, Higher level mobs= a lot more risk.
