I can second to THIS - Back in my orange jumper (Actually, began tailoring not to be orange, looong story) I would go ultra-pec efficient, eventually building up a small fortune at Argos (Maybe some... uh... 1k PED of stuff, TT value, I brought everything to the TT when I was seriously thinking about quitting again), with all the money reserve I had in my box I decided "Okay, now it's HOF-or-nothing time. 100 PED bombs, 200 PED ammo, Atroxes, mining in the desert, that's gonna rule!" Well, it didn't, my net value is about 500 PED and I'm back at my cheapass approach.
Let this be a warning to every player (especially non-depositers) reading this - don't go for a crazed haze even when you can. Two months of bad luck are a killer.

yes, from what I've seen it has no affect whatsoever if you deposit or you don't. the only thing to add is that ATH mostly goes to the hands of those who make maximum profit to MA, ergo they spend a lot on killing non-snable mobs

Seriously though, tons of non-depositers get globals and HoFs all the time, including sweaters and those ( mostly ubers ) who don't need to deposit.

In the middle, we have the depositing hopefuls, the main group numerically of EU and who pay for the above named categories. Here, more ammo and bombs = more chance of a global or HoF, obviously.

But, within all the obvious connections, I also think depositers get back a % of their deposits through globals over time. This does not mean you get a 300 ped global straight after your $40 deposit, you may get an uberHoF after 2 years of depositing with only a few globals to your name.

This is just a sense, based on my own and other's experience and sits outside of words like dynamic, random, and the like.

Personally i played about 1,5 years without even depositing a pec. i built my handgun skills to 4.3k, mining to 3k+, prosp to 1800, then sold the prosp and once again to 1.8k.
Then i thought id invest part of my my student loan (this april).. deposited 770$. And few days back withdraw 880$. So i'd say, im pretty non-depositer.
During the first 1.5 of playing i had many hofs in mining, 3 x 1k+ in hunting, and a very large number of globals.
Oh yes, and i'd also like to point out, that i never did economical hunting or such. started using katsuichis at 200 LB, have been using ewe 41 since 1k handgun.
It is possible to get by very well without depositing.

Then thing is, that the more peds you blow off (not necessarily lose, but 'use'), the bigger chance of a global.
If you sweat until you have 5 peds and then hunt really careful to make them last for an hour, you chance of global is much smaller than a player who blows off 500 peds in the same hour.

In the last 4-5 weeks I blew at least 1k PED every night into Trooper, Warrior and many other mobs and max I got was a 142pedder from a lonely Hispidus while people I know (that never deposit) get HoF's or loot shadow and whatever. So chances mean nothing, it's not random. It's some small swede sitting at a desk and read EF 24/7 and see who blames MA and who talks nice and then he decides who get's something and who don't. And yes, there is a conspiracy!

Playing for exacly a year (from 23-09-2005).
Deposit first 6 months 15 dollar /month, after that 30 dollar /month.
Looted several ESI's and got 16 globals so far.
No HoF or ATH
Most of them < 100 ped.
Got my first (and highest) global after my 1700 rifle skills from a exo young (300 ped).

pay attention to HoF list and global announcements at chat channel, what mob might be "hot" and go hunt those and you get better chance for globals.

If you just stick to small exos, your chances are small.

Yes, I am trying on other kind mobs!
Trouble is it that in the chat channel, ppl usually have global and hof from big mobs that I can't kill
Anyway, i will continue to try!
