Animal Hide

During the past 24 hours I have spent 6 hours hunting good old eco daikiba, exo, and snable. My daughter hunted 4 of those hours with me. In that entire time neither of us looted a single animal hide. Considering we globaled and got a silent global, I'm not complaining. I simply find this lack of animal hide statistically peculiar. I changed areas to see if it made any difference. It's just a little thing, but I'm distracted by it because it just seems odd. Has anyone else noticed a distinct absence of animal hide from these low end mobs in their loot since the latest VU?

Hmm, that is strange. I haven't noticed, although I haven't done a big hunt this Vu yet.

I'll definitely keep my eyes open and report back what I find.

Yep. I noticed it and informed support. Most mobs usually gave animal hides, give soft hides with equalling tt now.

Maybe MA wants generic leather to go up to 500%

i noticed a drop in hides but a big increase in wood been dropped from berys and corns so maybe they are getting rid of the clothes so we all wear woodern outfits now..lol

I can confirm no animal hides since VU, and i did hunt some mobs that usually drop it. I did get 7 tripudion skins at once, which is odd.

I had all 3 types of hide last night, but noticed a bit more skin in my loot. Hope that helps .

I've saw the same thing yesterday. It's been like that since the VU.

Well now that I know it's not just me, I wrote to support. I know they won't discuss loot drops with me, but if there's some error that's stopped or severly curtailed the animal hide drops, they're put on notice by more than one person. It would probably be good to get this straightened out, if it is indeed an error before the tailors start to feel the pain.

Fine hides and soft hides dropped last night but animal hides were absent from the usual mobs.

On another note, hides now occupy six spaces in storage instead of 4. Some skins also occupy 6 spaces. Other skins still occupy 4 spaces. Storage needs a little housekeeping from the change.
