Rascal vs. Knight

rascal, because I've had my set for 16 months and it hasn't let me down yet

but with such low evade and if you want trox/atrax... your going to get alot of decay since they do 3 types of dmg and alot of it

if you have the ped... get gremlin and for some of those mobs you are going to need a good fap

i would recommend one of two things
the knight+2a
or consider the costs/availability of shogun+2a and compare to the protection stats of the two and even further compare to costs/protection of nemesis..........
i have never used rascal but have never really been interested in it.

i have used knight-its good but overpriced for what it is.

i actually have recommended this to my past 2 semi-disciples
use your money towards a mix of higher end/lower cost armors
like grem arms/thighs which are both TT+5ish, Paladin face/harness TT+10ish combined costs, shogun shins/gloves TT+8ish for both

so TT+40 at most for much better protection overall. granted it is not all even protection but all pieces are fairly good armors and it makes for a nice high overall protection. i basically had the same combo for months and did quite well. these are especially good when paired with 2a plates.

I had knight plus 1a plates. I wish that I had not sold it


I 'upgraded' to ghost plus 2a. works nice for heavier impact, but the repair was horrible, in a way.

Problem was, if I got in "trouble" with my knight armor, i'd die. Now, if I get in "trouble" with my ghost plus 2a, I live. a lot. with the 14 atrox or atrax or whatever beating the snot out of my armor.


I like the ghost cause I can hunt ambulax and big prowler corns. I just could not do that with the knight. But I liked the knight because it kept me in check. (I could still do a provider trox with it though).

Go with knight. If you see ghost at a bargan, consider it in stead of rascal

I prefer knight. Overall close protection is better than even vigi.

wow and i thought the TT+150 listed on wiki for the set was a total waste and very laughable. paladin sets go for TT+200 and are better in my opinion-including the cost for the crazy rare thighs/gloves.........

I have both, and i'd suggest Rascal first, and then Knight.

IMO Rascal is useful for more than Knight is...also, Knight harnesses and gloves don't drop anymore (AFAIK), so you'll have a very difficult time finding them (check the PEAuction history and you'll see how rare).

This is not a selling thread ok? On the first page I wrote "Ok I got a full Knight almoast" So I would advice you to read the small thread before you post. As Hardicius said I will go for both armors and use knight for atrox and armax basicly.

That you'll answer yourself. Do this. Make a statistic now. Number of mobs killed, weapon used, decay on armour and fap. Make the same statistic when u'll have 2k evade, same armour, same fap, same wep, same number of mobs.

It is your right & pleasure to hunt whatever. I must say that, for example, a team of bravos ping-pong on spiders or on globsters is one of the funniest experiences ingame.
