By SIB you mean the 0.3/10 thing?
If so the Marber Bravo has that at the very least. So was wondering when it might go up. |

SIB is skill increase bonus. Meaning you will receive an increased numbers of skills with a weapon in which you have not maxed out the learning curve, attacks per min, hit ability and crit hit ability.
The numbers you are referring to represents your ability with a weapon v/s the weapons maximum as in 15 of 33 attacks per min 15/33 In the case of hit ability it means you are at .3 out of your max of 10 once you have the skills to max the rifle. So, with the Marber Bravo you are .3 of 10 in hit ability – my opinion is – don’t use that rifle now. Refer to the charts in the beginning of this thread to get a good idea of rifle /handgun progression. There are many opinions on this and hundreds of threads, but from what I have seen and experienced so far the most cost effective way to skill rifle is to start with the opolo then the L weapons until you get to 2k at a minimum. I’m at 1900 right now so once I hit 5k I can post on what ive experienced to that point.. What is your current lvl in rifle, laser sniper, plasma sniper ect? I would imangine ist under 1k but maybe not. those numbers will go up as you increase your skills. This will take a LONG time if you only use that Marber Bravo- burn up a few breers and i think you will see those numbers go up. |

Okay so SIB is like when you get a laser site or a scope and it adds x% to your skill. I see now. Much clearer thanks. +rep I do see what you mean though about missing. I've never tracked it 100% but now and then i have missed a couple times in a row with the marber. but when it does hit it's big. guess I shoudl keep it for emergency use till I get better then. |

Sort of...
And someone please chime in. If you ad a scope it helps increase your ability to hit while the scope is attached- just like an amp- but the bonuses you receive from an SIB weapon are Skills which are permanent. I updated my post above with a couple of things for you to look at. |

Well, actually I think what Midnght is asking has everything to do with the guide and why Solaris posted it in the first place. It’s a question about hit ability with a non SIB weapon ---and shows perfectly how there are many people who don’t understand this. Solaris was cool enough to let me use the graphics in the sib section of Enrtopia directory. Midnight, read the guide here again and then check out the SIB section of ED it should help you allot |

As I read it a SIB gives a temp skill bonus to whatever skill the weapons gives bonus for till the learnign period is OVER. A scope gives you a skill bonus so long as it's attached to the weapon (to hit only is the bonus it seems) A bonus is a bonus in general terms. Which is all I was saying. SIB is x% for example 5.8% laser sniper, scope is like 8% bonus on a scope or even a laser added to a weapon to to hit is what is said above. Bonuses are different granted but the general idea of it being a bonus is the same. So what I had to say doesn't directly pertain to the guide. but I was not trying to say it had anything to do with it. Just that the idea behind SIB is the same as the idea behind buying a scope or a laser to add to your weapon. differance being SIB ends after a time and you must get next weapon. Lasers and scopes don't require a level for the bonus. And if your talking about when I was asking if 0.3/10 was what sib was then you should learn to quote. If your not going to follow the thread where it was at the time of your posting. No offence meant here at all. But if one is going to point out issues with something they think is wrong one should use the subject they are speaking of to make themselves clear. ![]() |

so from my very untrained eyes, if you had 0 skills to start with, it might be a wiser choice to go with BLP weapons rather than laser? It seems like you could continue to build skills longer, thus using really good weapons later.
Someone feel free to chime in... Thanks, Hotei |
