PvP is and always will be about the size of your di... err gun/blade whatever.

I dont PvP in PE .. yet. Once I get myself a nice system upgrade and the all important perfect gaming mouse, I'll be good to go

I cant PvP for shit right now.. my mouse is cordless and has about 3 billion batteries in it to weigh it down... it's a crap shape too *sniffle*

I think there should be more PvP areas .. *but* I think n00bs should be immune to PvP... like if your combat skills are all less than 100 then you cant be killed in PvP battle.

It would make the rig more interesting

interesting in the sense of a sudden increase in second avatars there...

And in this game, the size of your pvp'ing penis is directly linked to the amount you have deposited

Non-lootable PvP is there primarily so people can fight each other for fun, or in the case of the oilrig fight for the potential to collect oil.
From one point of view yes its wasting PED, from another point of view it's spending money to enjoy yourself.

Lootable PvP for low and mid level players will *always* be unappealing since unless they have decent gear (and even if they do) someone better equiped will turn up and kill them.

It's a risk to go into a lootable PvP area if you don't have the gear. Some people take that risk, most don't.

Nah, all you'll get is more areas for those with equipment to search, in effect just taking up more space and diluting the # of players participating in lootable PvP by splitting them up.
Not exactly exciting.

It costs to enter PvP3 to both prevent random people just walking in unaware of the risk (even with the warning message) and the injection decay is also added to the PvP3 loot pool, so that you always get something when you make a kill.
Make it free and you take away that guarantee, which makes it less riskier for people just hunting other people, and thus more riskier for those hunting/mining in the area - hence you are likely to get a LOT more hunters shooting at each other hoping for loot, and in a sense it degenerates to a non-lootable PvP zone

Depends, if I die with 50-100 PED stuff, no big deal.
If a new arrival dies with that amount of stuff (e.g. at the end of a hunting/mining session there) then they may have just lost their entire deposit for this month.
That's pretty scary...

IMO the PvP situation as it is now is good and reasonably balanced.
Perhaps another dedicated PvP area is needed though, or perhaps more PvP events are needed.

Its my understanding alos, that PVP3 is the only place where certian highly valued ores can be found...

What would happen to that?

Ok thanx for replys.
And what about if there were PvP zones for diffrent level players.
For example - newbie, mid, high level.. Again entrance to these zones can be available for players with a certain sum skill.

Then what would we do with all the Creditcard-noobs?
And no more oil rig with noobkilling?

What would be interesting, though not good for the n00bs, would be to move the rig to pvp 3

Well, non-lootable pvp is quite OK, since one needs to be more conscious
e.g. when team-hunting in not accidentally killing the teammate ( I guess has
happened to me few times both ways). So it is a bit more realistical...
And also, kill-stealing has an added aspect that the kill-stealer can kill
the hunter, then steal the mob. And people can obey bizarre honour codes
and obnoxious reactive patterns of behaviour . And most of
the newbies are missing from the scene. And your friend can send you
to the nearest revival about at the same cost as using the tp chip.

I would state that non-lootable pvps are a nice idea from MA. pvp1 has
its specific atmosphere, and so pvp2. And Amethera is vast pvp, where
-hmm- the gun rules. This is an opinion of a player, who "does not do pvp".

There could be some lootable zones in Amethera, though. There would be
room especially after MA expannds the accessible area...

I must vote for that one. Wasn't the original idea with the rig "to make societies fight over it"? (thought MA stated that)

With the recently introduced 50% hitratio at stationary targets it is no longer possible for anyone to "hold" the rig and break even while doing so.

Currently the oilrig is a place for a few selected individuals with autograbbers to get back what they loose on hunting. If the intention is to be an alternative to sweating at least they should introduce a queue system or a system that shares equally to everyone close to the rig imo. (sorry to go a little off topic here)
