Question: Number of items ingame

When voting, please also consider the number of items already ingame (and the quick increase in numbers)!


So according to entropedia we have the following numbers:
(UL/L item versions of the same item counting as two different items)

1278 blueprints
901 materials (skins, hides, stones, ores and enmatters, etc (both refined and unrefined))
84 different armors (7 parts each = 588 items)
519 different weapons
296 clothing parts (which can be colored/textured in 100s of combinations)
163 pieces of furniture
118 decoration parts
77 healing kits/MF chips for healing
72 weapons attachments
60 misc tools
55 ore/enmatter finders
39 different PC signs
31 mining excavators
28 mining amps
27 armor platings
12 storage containters
11 mindforce implants
10 scanners
10 teleport/wormhole chips
5 focus chips

All these together makes:
4300 different items

And that isn't really every single item ingame...

So my questions to you is:
How many items do you think there are altogether ingame right now?

What item type do you think will include the biggest number of items? (item types = armor, weapons, clothing, etc)

and the one in the poll:
How many different items do you think will exist in another 5 years? (including RL items for sale ingame!)

Definitely over 1 million items ingame altogether right now. I'd even guess 5 to 10 million items existing at the moment. (and not counting stackables as more than 1 per player) I've got close to 600 items, multiply that times 10-40k active players is 6Mil-24 Mil items.

Different items in 5 years, I voted 50k-100k due to different planets and also hopefully more player created content. Its likely that player created content could make my guess way too low.

*You now mention RL for sale ingame, I'm waaay too low now I think. 250k-500K+ as I think some major retailers will realize how great a marketing tool this can be. Can't wait to order a pizza from Pizza Hut at their ingame kiosk and pay for it in PED and have it show up at my door.

Maybe even more items ingame? think about the HUGE amounts of sweat, hides, oils, residue, etc

I was in the process of editing my post to discount stackables as multiple per avatar

Include every single item in a stackable and I think we may have a billion? I have 9000 myself and I don't think i have that much.

I voted 10-25k different items in game after 5 more years. I think it will be mostly clothing and other "barbie" items.

Exclude EVERYTHING from the Trade Terminal and the Techinicians and the Weapons Traders. These items are not limited in quantity... you can buy 10000 Opalos and there will still be some left.

you mean in the "how many items altogether" question? if so, ofc you wont count the ones in the tts, because they aren't really ingame yet, are they?
