Killer decoy

The other night I was skilling decoys on a Kerboros, as they are slow and dumb enough to fall for a decoy. I had to shoot the Kerb every now and then to get his attention, but his health never got below 20% afaik.
So I dropped another decoy, took off running and heard the sound of an expiring Kerberos behind me. I was able to loot the body.
I figured it was just another weird lag thing, but I still wonder: Do decoys have a toxic effect over time? Did the kerb die from exhaustion or frustration?
Any one else have this?

Probably just a bug. Decoy system is not very popular and I suppose it needs some MA attention. I remember that I forced once by accident a gibnib to attack me using decoy. That was hillarious! Gibnib young chasing me for the half of Eudoria lol

i think its just a lag issue but more testing on this good be helpfull.

Yes, decoys work on spiders. They turn right round from the people shooting them and chew then happily

With regards to your Kerberos, I'm guessing that mebbe it's Health Bar lagged and you'd damaged it more than you thought; it don't take much to kill one.

I think there actually exist a system that kills of trapped mobs that may be responsible for that, I remember in old sweating times that mobs that where trapped would eventually self-die...

The mob might not have moved for so long that the system thought that it was trapped and therefore terminated it..
