The 1x0 situation

Please, MindBuster, do not lock this thread. At least until u read it.

Here is the story:

I joined the game on 26 July. After a day or two, I bought an axe 1x0 (I couldn't afford smth more expansive in melee). I looked at its stats and, there: it had electrical damaged.

One thing MA said was like: "whenever u meet a bug, it is ur duty to report it". Or smth like that. Having experience as beta-tester in several MMORPG (larger than PE, I hope you all know such games exist ), I kinda know what bugs look like.

I can give examples on bugs inside PE:

• usually the rocks are bugged. Those high white formations you can meet usually near the rivers. You can't get closer than a certain distance to them.

• mountains are bugged bigtime. Because MA wanted sharp edges but that design need some programming support.

• trees are bugged. ppl, seriously, trees inside u can walk!! THAT is a bug

• reviving on the top of a building. that is a bug.

•*sometimes, when i revive, i am not allowed to move. i must press T again, that is a bug

•*if u jump on the table of the auctioneer, u usually get stuck. that is a bug

• if u get close enough to walls/doors, u can see through those. that is a bug.

• if u shoot an animal with an weapon with lasers and u kill it, while u stand near him, u will see the laser reflection in air, like the carcass would still stand. that is a bug.

• somtimes when i switch items i keep in hand (weapon to fap, as an example), the newly eqquiped item might not work. that is a bug.

From all those, we can make a definition of the bug. The bug is an unusually comportament of the program, which was NOT INTENDED and appeared out of apparently UNKNOWN CAUSES.

IF the axe 1x0 had STATED in its description that it has electrical damage, that was not a bug. It was a feature, to quote an expression so dear to Marco. It was INTENDED that way. Yes, an anomally, how an axe could deal electrical dmg (let aside we are playing a sci-fi game).

So, what is my problem? The exprimation.

I am 25, I am very respected at my workplace, I work in a certain environment, everything I own I fully deserve and so on. I graduated an university and I have way over medium culture. I am not a special man. I deserve what everyone deserves. Respect.

Telling me that thing was a bug, shows that either Marco either somebody else at MA thinks we are stupid. Or that we are 15 year kids like some ubers spending chweing-gum money from pap's wallet.

I don't mind very much the change itself. Anyway, at my skills, I hit an average of 17-20 dmg with axe. It wasn't much of an advantage. Even if it was, I will find ways to profit from the game, that is my ambition.

But, mr. Marco, because we like the game and we are trusty players and almost sure we won't leave and we keep YOUR company alive and still playing and through OUR deposits we make YOUR monthly wage, for those reasons, please respect us and not make the fool out of us by saying that a feature of the game was a bug. More decent would have been to say: "that causes great imbalance in game, so we must correct it". Period.

I agree - and I think a lot of other players feel the same way. This move has damaged players trust in MA - if this changes what will they do next?

well it maybe wasnt bug but it was a misstake from MA to let the axe 1x0 to be that good that it was.. it was too good it destroyed loots in some areas. I like that they have changed them and i dont mind calling it a bug really. such a common item should have the best dmg/pec ingame if u ask me.. its just wrong.

I agree, but surly the fact it did elec dmg was the bug and there is no way this weapon should have had better dmg/pec than the impMK2

Very well said. I am no axeman either, but it is not about the axe thing. It is about fairness and respect.
And about all those ugly old BUGS mentioned. I wonder if maybe nobody reported them, so it was not officially processed by the support team. Then some wise PR would come with the excuse that birocracy is to blame for those bugs not solved...
And I wonder maybe if company (MA) would change the owner, then finally someone would loose a job there. And then some new ppl would apply the proper update with fixes on bugs... And I dont mean by "new owner" that creepy "supremacy noob bridger"...lol

axe 1x0 was too good. efeciency over 5.0 .... hmmm even uber imk2 has only 4,72, and u need much more skills to use imk2. every newcomer can take axe and go try luck with uber efective weapon. yes - turnover isnt uber but most pplz if have some luck get profit or dont lose as minimum. and then pplz start to wonder - why the loots are so bad? if every newcomer can make some profit with minimal work and litle luck.
some other start to train multiple disciples - i heard u dont need a lot of luck to finish disciple with litle profit. + mentor item+ 1 chip longblade. now this will become imposible i hope. because constant profiting w/o any skills are unlogical. and its hurt loots/loot pool a lot.

i am not against MA change a bug on weapon , like the axe.
but then :

1) they have to change all and i say ALL other bugged item , not only 1 on the X.

2) they have to change it in the first week after item creation and not over 1 year after or only if they change the whole bugged things at the same time as an general bug fixing.

i dont use axe , and i dont state if its good or bad for the game or player to do that change.

i just looks that way to do the thing is an imature methode , show how MA dont mind player , and make me puke an other time.
MA will stay MA...an other lie .. an other day they Fword player ...
its the way to do business.
MA still child business man ... and they never become a big societty i think.

they will for ever stay a game made by a young stupid child , that dont looks at what he do, just cry and whine to do this or that som time.

i know MA got long plan on lot of things.but i can not belive they heard last week aboutthe axe eco.
that 1 year that axe exist , he have to do that fix before or dont do it.

i wait to see fap deluxe fixed , but i am shure it would never happen.
shame on MA !

True, but not the discussion. Its about that MA claims the axe was "bugged".
But that 5 points electical damage was stated in the info of the 1x0!! So, this cant be a common bug!

Why not just say something like "We changed the stats on the item", or "we decided to remove the electrical damage from 1x0`s (cause it really makes no sense)". No, they call it "a bugged item/melee weapon" which is fixed now...

I`m not a meleer, just to clearify that. I dont care much about that change.

But on this one i feel pretty kidded by ma.

What I think was "¤&"&¤¤"/"#¤&d up with the axe nerf was that it was done without a prior notice to the participants. Marco himself once posted in a thread that MA would never change the stats on items without prior notice to the players. And now they did just that. I mean, if MA wants to change something, then go ahead, but tell us in advance. I have never seen MA make an official statement about the axe being bugged, nor a prior notice about it going to be changed.
