Land Area Twelve Shaolin, as a result of the recent Land Grab, has acquired Land Area Twelve (LA-12). LA-12 is a serene 3.36 square km on the continent of Amethera. There is good visibilty across the majority of the claim, as the vegetation is light in most places. Soft rolling ground make it an idea place for a peaceful hunt or search for resources. Enjoy a refreshing break at the fertilizer station. There you can review the current DNA settings for the land area or just have a nice picnic. For your convenience and safety, a turret behind the station protects the area from undesired incursions that might disturb your tranquility. What's waiting there for you? LA-12 is inhabited mostly by Mermoths. The density is moderate, so there are areas where you can walk around or rest if need be. The moderate density is intentional to help mining operations be more successful. Hunters will be pleased to note that the Mermoths are of medium to large size. While Alphas and Dominants are very common, the occasional Prowler can easily be found. Mermoths typically are culled for their hides (generic, fine, and soft), skins, eye and thyroid oil, violet cream and brown paints. They are also a source for advanced stone and advanced leather extractors. Also, Mermoths, for some reason, have also been known to loot some cosmetics, FAP50s, some lesser unlimited laser pistols, and perhaps even a Boar armour piece. Miners will enjoy the varied selection of ores and energy matter scattered across the land area. Shaolin Land Assessment has confirmed the following resources: Energy Matter Typonolic Steam Lytarian Dust Angelic Grit Melchi Water Binary Liquid Ferrum Nuts Devil's Tail Dunkel plastix Mineral Ore Cumbriz Quantium Azzurdite Dianum Tridenite Kanerium Blausariam Terrudite Taxes: Hunting - The hunting tax is currently set at a modest 4.0%. Mining - The mining tax is currently set at a respectable 4.9%. Additionally, in an effort to promote harmony, PVP has been turned off. How to get there: The most direct route is from the Nea's Place Teleporter. Just head due south. If the Ambulimax at Nea's are too dense, you can always jump over them. The rest of the way is quiet and scenic. you'll pass LA-13 to the east and LA-7 will be west. LA-12 sits south of LA-13. An alternate route is from the Palms Corners Teleporter. Just head south-south-west. Along the way, you'll find some Equus mulling about. Although this route is longer, it does not pass through any high densities of creatures. What else is there to know? If, during your visit, you run across a member of Shaolin, please take the time to say hello. Shaolin members are friendly and are looking to help where they can. You never know, one might even give you a tip that points you toward a good resource find or a specific maturity of creature. Also, if you find yourself in difficulty, we may be able to help. Finally, Shaolin will periodically host special events on LA-12 for the benefit of the community. Watch this thread for further information and announcements. You may also visit our land marker, located near the fertilizer station. It hosts listings of all events scheduled for LA-12. Although any Shaolin member can assist you in obtaining event tickets, the land marker will often have a some which you may obtain directly. It can also provide you with some summary information regarding each event - such as the basic rules, restrictions, and the some prize information. Last edited by kira-red; 03-28-2008 at 04:56. Reason: added additional confirmed resources. |

In honour of our allies who helped us in obtaining LA-12, Shaolin is hosting an invitation only celebration event!
Watch this space for further details. There will be prizes, fun, and lots of violence. Best of all, it will all be free. It's our way of saying "thank you" for your support. Last edited by kira-red; 03-27-2008 at 19:02. |

If you have proof of a boar thigh dropping then you should not include this. It is deemed as "false advertising". |

Sounds like a good DNA setting. I tried the Stalkers elsewhere a couple of days ago, and though I can do them, they took a lot more fapping than I'd like, so your slightly lower maturity sounds perfect - I'll be visiting for sure
![]() Mermoths are known to drop not only the Boar Thigh but also the Boar Shin. Of course they don't drop them every day, it's a rare item. Shaolin don't need to prove that they still drop them to know that there's a possibility that they will drop them. That's how rare loots work. Don't be so stupid. |

A possibility? You and I have a better chance at winning lotto than looting a boar part! To "suggest" that such items are dropping is just bullshit mate. How many VU's ago did a boar part (excluding footguards) drop? AND, if a boar part did drop from a mermoth, what's the chances of it being (L)? Maybe it's time to update the known loots to drop from each mob on entropedia? Anyway, if you live your head above the clouds I'll let you believe boar thighs still drop from mermoth. |

Part of the reason that Boar is such a rare drop these days is that several of the parts only drop from landgrab mobs like Mermoth, which have been rarely hunted for the last 2 years. During the last Landgrab, when they were easily available, Mermoths dropped a lot of Boar. We all know Boar is rare. No-one will read this and expect to go on a day's hunt on Mermoth and come back with Boar pieces. But if I was going to hunt for Boar, I'd hunt Mermoths, Fungoids, etc - mobs that are known to have dropped it in the past. If you think there's no chance of it dropping, and don't want to hunt Mermoth, that's fine, you can hunt what you want. But I can guarantee you that when Boar Thighs/Shins do eventually drop, it won't be you that gets them. |

Great. Thread pissed on by people who don't really know what they're talking about or in fact how they manage to talk at all.
Here's a McCormick special to cheer everyone up Shaolin`s LA12 - "Seal Clubbing - Stop the madness!" (Video) |
