Question: Land area maintanence cost?

Hi, a couple questions about land area, couldnt find it trying to search google. Thanks.

1) How do you acquire land area as of right now? is it currently only through auction / trade with other players?

2) Once you acquired land area, is there any maintainece cost associated with it. For example, you have to pay x ped each month as an upkeep, etc...

3) From my initial research, it seems the store/shop properties are in ruins and not a good investment, as there are tons of empty vacant stores and all stores require an upkeep cost. Is this assessment correct?

you dont have to pay upkeep on a LA but you do have to invest in dung to keep the mobs spawning

sorry can you elaborate on this further, do you mean you have to keep buying dungs in order to have mobs keep spawning in your area? How much dungs on average (ped per month) for a normal sized LA do you need to "feed" into the LA.

Also if you dont pay for the dungs, is the LA still a viable place for mining? or do you need to feed something as well to keep the ore/em spawning as well for mining.

Hi,

Land areas, estates can be bought from other players in auction/trade or if MA release new land, estates etc., some estates have a maintenance fee depending on the type.

for land you can put in energized fertilizer, which effects creature density etc.

Shops I believe have been a good investment for many, I own the Port Atlantis Mall, and am very happy with the purchase, there are many succesfull shops around.

for the mall, it works like a land area, so there are no maintenance fees, or dung/fertilizer costs since there are no creatures that need to spawn.
