I read a post by a land owner a long time ago that suggested that a hunter will pay tax on any mob killed that spawned in the land area. In other words, dragging it out of the LA and killing it does not work as a sneaky method of tax evasion.
However, just read this: Quote:
I had assumed that as they didn't spawn in the LA, I wouldn't pay any tax. But MrTiddles' comment above suggests otherwise. So did I give Star 10% of my Scips or not? |

![]() Interesting - do you have a link to a quote? Also, does this mean LA's that have indigenous non-DNA mobs (eg. hiryuus that spawn in some of the Wolverine land areas but aren't DNAs) do not get tax from those mobs? |

Don't know the answer to this one, but I do know that mobs dragged into an LA during an event score points in that system. I've never tried to pull one outside the borders during an event... That seems to imply, given any reuse of coding, that you will have paid tax I'm afraid.

Hi,
Long ago MindArk told me that the tax was applied if the creature spawned in your Land Area. I took this to mean any creature spawning on a Land Area, wild or from DNA, will generate tax. The fact that I get income from SEG proves that this is true. Of course now that we know events let you score mobs on creatures you dragged in, it is possible that there is a bug in the system. It is also possible that they are two systems, tracking different things (on spawn, and on kill). Certainly it would be trivial to flag a creature when it spawns on an LA, and also trivial to check this flag when a creature dies in an event. However since events can occur outside of land areas (and thus on untaxed land, meaning it is not flagged on spawn), the event system may just check if it died in the event areas borders instead. Bye, Deathifier |

From what I remember when this has been discussed before, landowners don't get tax from any mob not spawned from their own DNA. That's why my events generally include a rule like this one: |
