Question: Where's the DNA?

This past year, we've had a lot of new Land Areas made available. However, the amount of DNA parts dropping has remained basically non-existent. (By parts, I mean that rare, or control part needed to finish the recipe.)

While location is important, even more so is what mobs are put on them. And for that, the owners need DNA.

Quick research on DNA sales trends and what's current on auction gives a grim tale.


I can't see there being enough DNAs floating around atm, unless we're expected to have 20 LAs with just exa and merp on them. And having 15 mining LAs seems a bit silly.

Hopefully we'll see an increase of the rare DNA parts dropping soon.

I agree 100% - having only come back to the game recently after a long break, I am having to add a lot of TP that were added while i was away and their surrounding LA's - its amazing how many of the LA's have no decent spawn of mobs roaming around in them...


Is it just me that finds it sad that is seems the only way to get the balancing manager to do his job properly is to create a thread on the forum and have everyone moan about it?


So, in the spirit of cooporation, here is my registered moan. I figure once the thread get to around 100 posts before someone in MA/FPC spots it and we should start seeing DNA drop again

Simple, quick answer..MA seeks more control and tighter reins on this aspect of the universe.

Only have to look at the introduction of the last few mobs to realise that there is a huge change in direction there....

I looted all the parts for Cornundacauda DNA, anyone interested?

noticed same problem lately, bought LA and only mobs i can offer for hunters are Exos and merps...there are tonnes of different DNA parts in my storage waiting for completing (most of them is lacking so called "rare one DNA part".

I suppose that MA/FPC has fixed numbers for some DNA's amount and until it is not destroyed there is no possibility to loot new one. But i bet if few longus sharp claws and other "rare" parts could drop that will be only better for averall economy and hunting ctivities on LA's

I noticed a few DNAs for sale here on EF, but I'm really hoping to see a more diverse selection of mob DNA for land owners to choose from.

We all know the ones in charge of loot and balance never make mistakes, so it simply means some people are hoarding the missing pieces.

I am interested as long as it includes all parts including the sail.

I believe more dna will be added soon. In particular I think we might see sea-creatures as one of the newly sold LAs contained a large portion of water.

In fact, there are folks who are sitting on DNA, and I understand that. Some are in long-unused avatars, while others are in inventories waiting for maximum return on investment. (Hint: sell NOW!)

I'm also aware that Qetesh, Deathifier, etc. have been stocking up (or trying to) on DNAs for a long time, and good for them.

However, even counting those, I believe the "choices" are a bit thin.

Personally, I'd love to see an LA with Hiryuu DNA on it.

Duh, I just checked, and I'm missing that. Looking at the price now, the reason is clear...

As for the rest of the parts, it took about 5000 big corns to loot the cheaper parts.
