Land Grab 2008. Hired guns

I have never participated in a land grab but from all I have read , strategy is the key. Society's aligning with each other to further their chances. As a happy member of Terra Verde, I do not think we will be participating but personally, I would love to be involved somehow so here is my thought.

Would you like to have the chance to just participate in the event ? Being a low lvl mid lvl player, I am mature enough to know that my skills wont make much difference but still any help may be appreciated. I am not asking to be hired but instead just offering services if they could be of use. So here goes: 90k skills, 128 hp, plated ghoul, amped ML35 / lvl 32 blp sniper, good tp chip. I can run ammo or just stand there taking pot shots, dying , reviving and jumping back for more. All just for the excitement of battle. Or is this just a foolish thought

49 views and not a comment. Am I the only one that wants to play ? Or is this strategy ? I can not believe I am the only one that wants to paticipate for the fun of it. Perhaps the socs that are going for LG do not want an outsider on the inside to give away strengths or weaknesses. Or is it that any participating socs just do not feel they need another gun ? Come on,, I want to play and it would be much more fun shooting out then running in alone against a whole soc. I would not expect to be in on team chat, pm with any member would work. Sounds like I am begging now but dang it,, how often do land grabs happen ?

I'm hoping to participate for the fun of it for at least some of the event have friends in some socs that will be competing for LAs so will probably offer my cannon fodder services for free to one of them. If I'm not wanted or needed then I may wander around and see if anyone needs a hired gun.

Hey nice thread, I think you're right up to a certain extend.
Tactics and strategy do become important when the challenging avatar groups are equally skilled. Most decent pk'ers can take about 50-100 noobs without having any troubles. It is only when ppl with massive firepower, massive armor, massive health, and massive fapping capability that tactics and strategy become the only tools left to compete. Tactics and Strategy though are only a tool u can use, and will be used by your opponent. They will equal themselves out, the same way that it happens when both parties have massive firepower...

id be quite happy to participate on a free/contribution basis. I dont do PvP though i doubt id be much use, despite Vigi+6a and Adj97 firepower (). I just hope to be able to see some of the action at this point, without being a white dot

I have been hired by a soc in the upper half of the Top 50, they provide me a LR59+ammo. Unfortunately, as it seems of now, I will be unable to compete in this LG, as my notebook is still waiting for spare parts in the HP repair shop. The last date for delivery is Wednesday, so either I will be able to fight that day, or I will get my money back and buy a new notebook, but I cant have both at once The second date on Saturday is also slighty inconvenient as I am leaving for ski holidays that week.
