Just want to add here that Sakura City went down during the half-hour server loss for me and everyone I was chatting with. Not sure how much more widespread it was.

I'll say again, before someone calls me on it: I wasn't competing and my loss does not in any way financially equate to the real and potential losses of LG players.

I can understand why everyone's annoyed though.

LG players are generally placing a large amount of cash and prior investment into the belief that they can emerge from the event with a tangible asset. Rather like a blind-bid at an auction where your bid is lost regardless of whether you win the item.

As it is a voluntary arrangement; losing when the ground is level for all is an acceptable risk. Having the said analogous fund transfer cut off due to a fault at the recipients end, then the transferred portion kept brings to question just how acceptable the risk is.

MA really need to look hard into their saftey features for situations like this.

Yup...be really nice if they realise it this time and put their PR team to work on acknowledging peoples legitimate greivences.

Or even started to take on board what the users have to say about the game rather than flipping through the latest computer graphics mags in search of what they believe the players really want ('silly players, what would they know about what is needed').

Sry for you guys... It sure sucks to have such experience.

My guess at what happened is that everybody on the server that crashed has the similar bugs.
People on different server, could ofc just TP in there once the server was restarted, and wouldn't experience any of the bugs.


Apart from this server crash, the general level of server performance was fantastic compared to any other events in the history of EU.
Lag was nearly non-exsting (for me at least).
Overall a very good job by MA, though you guys ofc have a different opinion.

I was there when this happened,some were able to get in straight away some were out for ages

anyway I think if 1 LG claim gets reset due to crashing then they ALL should be reset to give the crashed soc a fighting chance at reclaiming it!

I'm wondering something.... How come those servers problem only, apparently, were on 3 LA (AoW, AoW, BAHQ), and others LA had no problems ?

thats a good point, but it would be better to just put this LA up on the next half of the LG, so all soc's will be spread out amongst the other LA's agian.

i cant help looking back at why there was no lg in 2007, the excuse was "to get rid of the bugs" .....
well its pretty clear nothing was done at all. once again we were fed a lie

so this LG has ended in a screwup, the last LG was screwed from lag, or as ma said at the time, autoclickers. and the lg before that... well i dont really remember.. has there ever been a LG without controvasy?

its the single biggest event in the EU calendar and they cant even get thier servers sorted for a few hours.... really really sux.

the points about what happends when china arrives is valid... we see 40-50 peeps and the server goes pop... and they want 7 million chinese? hahaha thats a dream

but lets be realistic, mistakes do happen, and its not the mistake we should dwell on its the way its resolved...... wich is why i am so suprised that we havnt seen our friendly community director make a comment. there is a irony in a community director who no longer speaks to the community, wont accept pms etc... but thats a gripe for another time i guess

so theres only 1 question... whats ma gunna do about it?
