During todays LG, at server crash, we were defending LA19, pretty easy, as a group. After 20 attempts to log back and a support case, more than half an hour later, I managed to log back, just to find out that Warants, M2s, CK, CC secured their lands during server outage, and they were all at our claim, and all my team was dispersed, with missing implants or other items, unable to teleport or move. We lost the land in that mess, without having the chance to exploit last half and hour for the other claims or to organize a defense. I do not find it fair, and I really wonder what is the issue? Alot of my society members are pissed off, thinking to sale, etc. It is the fifth year of this game, and MA plans to go to China and hold 7 million players on this platform.. lol.. How will they do that if they cant hold 50 people? How will explain to 7 million chinese why their items are missing after crash and they cant shop or move or whatever? And what is the issue after all? Cant you MA just solve this silly bugs or whatever causes this in 5 years? It is not the first event where our odds are turned by a sever crash and I thought thats history now..

What happened today is the most disheartening experience of my EU career and quite possibly the last. After a half hour during which all of us were either frozen or unable to log in, I finally got reconnected at nates. I was naked, no armor, missing my clothes.

Strange I thought. I went to charge my tp chip and got an error that I need to have a mindforce implant to use one. o_0 Somehow my MF implant was de-equipped along with all my armor and clothes. So ran in to the service center and bought an inserter.. inserted the implant.. finally tp'ed back to our claim..

When I got there I found that while we were all frozen and/or disconnected, the people from warants, Menace to Society and Amethera Demons were magically fine and came and killed us off our claim while most of us were frozen or not present because of the bugs/lag/crashes/freezes.

Did I mention that we suddenly 'un froze' right at about 21:10.. just in time for warants and m2s to have claimed their lands and been able to move in to position to take us out on ours? Will wonders never cease?

They nerf our skills.. and I say nothing.
They take our loot.. and I say nothing.
They introduce decay for equiping clothes and armor.. and I say nothing.
They force us all to buy footguards.. and I say nothing.
They look the other way while the golden boys buy and sell accounts, act on inside information, autocraft 24/7.. and I say nothing.

Well today I'm saying something. For two years my EU career has been about one thing.. skilling up to join a top society and getting land. Well, today was going to be that day until I had the rug pulled out from under me yet again.

While I was uninvolved with the LG, I have to say that a 30 minute sever-down was inconvenient for me too.

If I'd've thrown away $1000 on ammo I'd be livid.

Hamsters are human too though (well...they're hamsters actually), and the poor little thing probably had a coronary.

Hope MA learn from this and work out a swifter fix in the event of a server going down. Preferably one that doesn't involve you finding your avatar wearing the clothes they were a couple of hours before as happened a few times at one point.

Better hardware rather than more expensive champagne?

Better coding rather than bunging an extra line into the existant program?

Better power source rather than a bunch of half dead experimental hamsters bought cheap from a pharmaceutical company?

I have no idea what the solution would be...I just shoot's things. But I hope they come up with a good one this time.

And I hope to hell they don't figure out another way to tax us for it.

I didn't get involved in the LG; after reading Rony's and Centech's posts... all I can say is that I made a smart decision.

It is downright OUTRAGEOUS and MA should restore from backup, and start again.

I cannot explain how disheartening the whole experience was.

I could not revive, the timer kept reaching 0, then back to 300 and starting again, I was in dispair that this happened several times. I would see socmates frozen and unable to log in, but others moving around no problem and shooting them. After around 20mins I was able to revive, I could not use my TP chip, I decided to try to run back to claim, as I got close, white screen, and back to revival. Other socmates stuck not being able to get ingame, some people having to re-implant the MF implants. It was rediculous.

Please please MA fix this, I beg you.

I think that says it all actually.

And I was impressed with the LG warm up, they did pretty well then.. but today that huge crash sucked big time.. I was actually thinking the same thing that Rony said, while they were off the other societies had plenty of time to get their lands and move to the others.. Really not a big chance for other societies than the top 5 ones because of that incident :/.

There was one point where I waited for the timer to count down then it reached 0 and disappeared, then I couldn't get it to revive or bring up the timer again for another 5 minutes and finally the timer pops back up and it's at 300 seconds again!
It took me 15 minutes to revive!

Sorry to hear this guys, after so much preparation and cost involved in securing the LA I can understand totally your anger. Hope that something can be done to compensate you all from MA, and that an explaination from them will be forthcoming.

can i ask was it only the LA that you were defending that was affected, and is it on a seperate server to others not affected?

I sure hope BAHQ is compensated by MA for this "mess-up" as happened last time this occurred.

Well said Centech! If you have no hope of ever advancing in the game because of bugs.. what is the point of adding 7 million more people other than adding more lag because the new additions would have no hope of ever advancing past whatever artificial ceiling MA has created for them.
