hi all,

most of us colonists will not have the chance to play a role in the upcoming LG. anyway, many will hold their breath about the goings and outcome of the battle.

this goes out to all field-reporters, FRAP-operators, game-cam users, video-editors and storytellers:

WE WANT FOOTAGE!!!
Hot news, minutely updated, latest standings, reporters being killed on the field!

let's make this THE ingame-media-event of the year. on youtube maybe use a distinct naming scheme to find the news (fx: 'EU LandGrab 08: name of movie'). if you are a field-reporter and have the connection, set up live audio-broadcast (dreaming away now..)

anyway,

FEED THE MOB WITH ENTERTAINMENT!

I think this should be a good thread to designate who will be semi-official press for the landgrab.

The participants fighting for the land will seldom be using Fraps to record as this will slow down their experience and thus reduce their chances of success.

We can't allow anyone and everyone to walk around shouting PRESS: Please do not shoot unless you are recognised as such.

By having a set number of people register here, it is known who is press and who isn't and therefore any pKers will have a list of known safe avatars who are there for press purposes.

However, this will never stop all pKers from shoot-on-site rules.

my name is not very known on calypso, but if it is alright for you LG-participants, i'd love to volunteer as reporter. if you will just shoot anyone with an unfamiliar name, i'd skip the efforts
i suggest basic pattern shirt and pant, blue with yellow stripes as reporter dress. (i happen to have a set of those, lol.. it's also cheap and possible to get within minutes at PA though, mine was coloured by sarah most shiny - til the recent nerf..)

Not necessarily how known you are on Calypso, but more to do with your video recording and reporting abilities.

Clearly key people for this task, provided they are not in the LG themselves are Skam (reporting, who has done it before), Jimmy B (reporting), YourMom (video), McCormick (video), plus more.

Maybe some sort of "Press dress code" can be initiated (like not wearing armor?) in order to show the killers that you are a member of the press?

well, i do music recording and editing for a living, so i think i could handle it..
i'd be willing to install some capturing-proggie again, and the trial version of sony editing software worked just fine when i gave it a try the first time..

I think yes.
Mindark must provide and design a special reporter suit, who is imputed in inventory of the ones who have been chosen for this job.
The reporter suit make u god and untouchable, but also u cant equip gun or rifle when u wear it.
The Special reporter suit is removed from inventory once the LG is terminated.
