I don't believe that I've never had the pleasure to meet you - so allow me to introduce myself I'm Danielle 'your mom' Deathbringer and I'm the leader and founder of the society Pyrates of Calypso.

Because your application came as random and you weren't suggested by a Pyrate, allow me to tell you a little bit about our society - so you know what you're jumping into.

Pyrates has been around exactly the same amount of time as my avatar has been around - since June 1st, 2006. I started Pyrates when I joined because I wanted to gather a group of fabulous people from all over the world who like to laugh, skill, and have fun together inside this world that we love so much.

We're a group of 50 total Pyrates - but only about 30 are actually active. It's not a society based on skills or gear - just about being here and having a good time. We are all over the world - a handful of pyrates are from the US, We have a couple estonians, couple of swedes, a canadian or 2, couple australians - Pyrates hail from all over !! Yarrr

Average age in our society would have to be between 25 and 30 somewhere. But we range in age from 18-50.

There's usually at least one pyrate on when you play - but I'm sure there is at least one point of day where there isn't another Pyrate on and the blue chat is empty, but that's a rare time.

The 'inactive' 20 Pyrates are mostly pyrates who have stopped playing. We've of course become friends while they were playing, so I didn't want to kick them out, just in case they decided to log back in and say hi one day.
I want them to have a home to go to, so I don't have the heart to kick them out.

We range anywhere from the full time sweaters to a bunch of mid level hunters and miners - and a couple of us who pretend to be-uber.

Hunters, miners, crafters - doesn't matter - we have a little of it all.

We are a pretty solitary society - meaning a lot of the times we're all out doing our own thing, plugging along, chatting while we mine, hunt, craft, resell, sweat .. etc. whatever it is you do.

But don't get me wrong - we do love to do beacons, big atrox hunts, hogglo/scipulor team hunts - anything fun, someone needs to just ask in soc chat. Also we have the most fun dysfunctional outpost, tp rescue missions

We're a laid back society, but let me warn you now. If cussing, bitching about loot, sexual references or bad jokes offend your eyes - this is not the society for you. We're an odd bunch of characters who joke around about anything, make fun of everything and call each other names when we're bored - but we do it all in love. ( i promise )

We have a two week 'trial' membership into Pyrates - to make sure that you fit well into our little family of insane Entropians. At the end of the trial - a group concensus will be gathered and if you love it and we love you - we make Pyrates your home for as long as you will have it.
