Looking for a mentor

I haven't actually started playing the game yet, but have read a lot, and think its about time to get started. From what I read besides sweating of course, I'll need a mentor. Well I have plenty of time to dedicate and will probably be getting on later tonight. Probably around 8 oclock if plans don't change.

Anyway let me know if you can help

You don't NEED a mentor. Signing on here is a good start and joining a society would help. If you do get a mentor, make sure they have the time to give to you, lots of good ones, but you can get a bad one. Ask questions and do some research before accepting mentorship from anyone

like ask questions here on the forum? or in-game? and, to my understanding, a society is similar to a guild, right?

i guess i'll definitely have to start playing and see whatsup. i just don't want to make too many mistakes haha. i can be a little to over-analytical sometimes i guess

One question which pops up is: in what timezone do you live?

Could be a bit complicated in case you live on the other side of the world...

Time zone isn't as important as what times do you play, some people are night owls or early birds so even if you're in the same time zone you may not play the same hours as they do.

That is true, however the timezone at which you play tells me at what hours we can meet up more often and in case i need to schedule something with the said person, so i can schedule it a a decent hour, because it can happen that its 8 PM in the mentors schedule and 5 AM to the disciple.

I do get what you mean, but haveing the same timezone allows for better organisation.

i didnt know i would get so many responses so quickly. well i started playing (and gathering sweat

) and I'm having a lot of fun and everyone in this community is so incredibly nice they make me want to stay that much more.

as far as getting a mentor goes, well, I was advised not to rush into anything but ill be on around ten pm (im in central time) and my avatar name is Zeta Zee Orhinoa. I dont really know how to pm people in-game or anything yet so youll have to pm me. (Sorry I'm still on the learning curve =P I'll have it down in a few days at most)

There is no way to PM ppl unless you have added them to your friends list. Like you said about the community the majority are very willing to help if you need it
