Ice Pirate, I'm sorry to hear of your predicament, however all is not lost. Read Alice's guide (The link is in her signature). It's easily the best one around, especially since Alice is constantly updating it. That will surely help a lot.

As for a "mentor", I don't think you're in as bad a shape as you think. there are plenty of folks (such as Alice) who are willing and able to answer your questions. Here's some places to help your learning:

1. Hang out at Camp Phoenix. My socmate BlackRain is heading an effort to make it the sweating/n00b social hotspot it once was.
2. Read and search these forums. there's tons of information here. If you can't find it through Alice's guide, or the EF, it doesn't exist in Entropia.
3. Don't be afraid to ask, however...
4. Use the search function before asking. Chances are your question's already been answered somewhere.
5. Keep an eye out for good folks like Alice, BlackRain, Kcjeeper, AkiranBlade and others. Learn from their generosity and hard work.

That should help. If you need any help finding the teleporters (otherwise known as TP runs) PM me and I'll try to help you out.

As for my background, I never had a mentor. I learned many things "the hard way". I.E. On my own doing my own research. If I can do it, anybody can.

and as i said, don't hesitate to ask, we could arrange a meeting if you want to too, just a mentor isn't possible

well, he escaped my claws too

he didn't wanted me to release him that fast, so, at this time he is still my disciple, but at 100%
The screenie was taken by him (well, actually, he send me about 20, some would rather fit in the "Entropia Playgirl", but thats another topic

)

as the pic shows, he is a pretty good miner, and if I'm not mistaken
the first disciple who graduated in mining

(seems it is hard to read, so, here the numbers , 2275 copper, and 622 Iron)

(need to push some people to crafting now

anyone want to try coloring btw ?

Hey ice! I tried to be your mentor-the button was not faded and after I clicked it and you accepted, it went grey but nothing happened-Was quite wierd, but you followed my advice and came to the NBK :P
