Lot of whining in this thread. I'm thinking that owning a landarea is reflective of being a 'hard core' society. Jobs and Girlfriends be damned.

In a post on TN about another game, the writer was informed by a society leader that, 'Sleep is cancelled.'

Now that's hard core.

No Warm up here for 99.999 percent of us, it is a 'gift' to the top uber societies. Hummm, a drunk viking sitting in the dark...

So, thanks MA....another brain fart...well thought out...just like 99.9999 percent of your events...for the select few, the ones with a few 100,000 bucks to spend, and the mid-levlel players are the ones that allow them to make their money back, as history tells us the rich get richer and the poor get poorer...go figure...

Please note, I have nothing aginst the uber societies, working on trying to help my society to become one someday....what i'm pissed off is about MA...not the societies...the dudes paid their due in time and/or money, so, they have the power and more power to them...BUT, it is time for MA to look at the rest of us, over 3 years here for my part, over 20,000 real USD spent and i'm pure mid-level, no uber toys, no ATH, and no real hope of getting either. But i play because I like the people i've meet here and do enjoy hunting and mining....(most of the time)

I would just like to see a bit of balance for the mid-level player..that is all.... For those with the neg. reps, that i'm sure you are ready to bestow upon my worthless ass...this is not a whining response..this is a request that some....BALANCE... be put into this game. No, I don't expect to make money, never did...No, I don't expcect one damn thing other than a bit of balance..

i think the LG is at that hour because it's the time MA staff are at work and can observe what's happening .... hope the main event is during a weekend but i really dont think we are that lucky

Honestly, from what I learned, the previous landgrab was such an unbalenced, epic failure, that they haven't had one since. That they are brave enough to try again means a good number of different things.

1.) They have a "better" setup this time. Though better for who is definitely in question.
2.) They have the server firepower to make it "less" of an atrocity.
3.) Any number of smaller test things.

Now that said. It has to be obvious with a pair of open eyes.

This "server/rule test." Is a load of BS. Abject, unquestionable, obvious, blatent, laughable BS. What this is supposed to accomplish is the following:

-Huge decay production.
-Huge decrease in the liquid assets of the playerbase.
-Securing the position of elite societies further, and by proxy, MA's power over who gets what.

Before I continue, let me say this. The uber bashing needs to stop. Ubers are not the bad guys here, MA is. Most ubers have earned their position, or their strength. It would be a waste for them not to use it, and that they, with all they already have, want more still, only proves that they are human beings like the rest of us.

That said, likewise, this assinine philosophy of "the ubers deserve, because they spent more," has to stop. Yes, there is some legitimacy to the idea, but there is a limit.

Ubers already have, the best weapons, the best armor, the best support gear, the most options in hunting, better profit/loss ratio, economically speaking, in addition to the majority of major real estate, travel and industry. MA does NOT need to, and should not, be giving away "freebies." Nor should anyone be postulating that ubers "deserve" anything more then they have already gained.

The elite class has been constructed and has a sound foundation, it's time for MA to start paying back the thousands of not so uber players who are just as important to the economy, MAs and EUs, as the top teir. This isn't unreasonable whining, it isn't griping, or demanding "freebies" either.

The time, money and effort, put in at lower levels is not, and should not, be of less import then that at the top. Which is what is most insulting about this supposed test. It's just another freebie.

I certainly hope MA releases all LAs at once during the landgrab, otherwise it will just be another unhappy uberfest. Which again, is not an arguement against ubers. It's an arguement for the desire for balence.

Good post, and they should limit to on LA per Soc in a Landgrab event or it will be again the known soc's going around at other LA's close to the 4 hour limit to make them available after they claimed their first one and so on until the all to well known soc's will have again divided all LA's among them.
