Welcome to our new friends. What a great start you got off to here, impressed us all I bet. It was a nice surprise to see those posts with pics and info.

We thank you all for the enthusiasm and support for the new planet, but please understand that we can not really say much more beyond what Ed3 has already posted up. We could've kept totally silent, but out of respect for the EU community, we decided to be different and share what we could with you all at this point. Believe us, we really wish we could say a lot more, and we truly understand your frustration, as we've been there too, but it is truly not feasible at this time. But the information we did release today was to let the EU community share our excitement and determination to bring EU something that will truly set it apart from the rest.

I loved reading that part. Keep this up and I'll be moving planet

Get back to work, you haven't got time to read this, we want our new planet

Maybe Calypso will be the 'noob' planet, with the new planets progressivly getting more difficult...

I can't imagine that particular mob in the picture would be any easier than a thorifoid....

And, while I'm rambling, I was thinking that it would be nice to have an active civilization of mobs, where they already have a city, and we're invading itver... I mean, yeah, I'm generally a nice person, but I'm American, and you know us Americans, we love invading other people's homes...

As far as I know according to the CKI website they worked in an unknown capacity for Nakheel Properties - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia which in turn is owned by The Corporate Office. The magic panda I would guess is from the son's company.

Great, some positive developments here. Always nice to get some feedback. Good to hear that the cry engine is involved. Pics are nice too, but I personally feel that the cgi pics are of greater value than the RL ones. Since when is in-game world development done with RL models? When you think about it, it makes absolutly no sense. It's expensive and time consuming and, unless you're making a Thunderbirds movie too, they're completely useless afterwards. You're better of going for the 'real' deal at once. I think these models were made by cki in the past to give a global impression to (potential) customers of what they can do. I hope they will impress us again at a later stage.

The introduction of a new planet is exciting news, for sure. But alot speculation going on here. We don't know how it will be introduced, for all we know it could be on a seperate server with it's own currency! I'm not saying it is, but it could be. But one thing is for sure, we'll be the ones that will need to kickstart the economy. Whatever this new world holds for us, it comes with no players, no economy or loot pool.

But it could also involve some potentially profitable investment opportunities for players. New realestate up for grabs, new markets create new demands.
I'm also very curious about the new activities there. They seem to indicate that there will be 'story line related' events. Can't wait to see what those are.

Yes it DOES make sense, since it's achitects developing this and good architects use RL models!
And since this isn't supposed to be a game planet, but rather a virtual world planet, and it's also a showcase of CK's... Well they would make sure to get it all right, right?

Then we differ of opinion, because to me(and a lot of others I think) this actually is a game. We all know that PE runs on people playing and making deposits. To some it's a high stakes game, to some it's a virtual experience. Call it what you want, I don't care. But at the end of the day this is still a game.

And your statement that architects are making this world only makes me worry more. Kinda gives me the New Oxford creeps. We don't need another fancy place with stylish art where there's absolutly nothing to do! Well atleast I don't. I need solid gameplay, engaging surroundings and challenging and fun things to do.
