That pic is actually quite revealing. From it I deduce that we may be able to choose which "race" we start off with. So in the pic you mention:

Well the pic is called stable and it looks like that. So it confirms there will be some type of pet system on planet cyrene. The "pet" which is stabled seems to have 2 different type of creatures around it. One type is wearing armour the other isn't. I'd hazard a guess the creature wearing armour may be a player character and the other may be a stable hand from whom he/she is buying the pet. Or it could be other way round, armoured character is the stable hand? anyway the armoured character also appear in this pic:

This pic and the other with roman village shows us we also have humanoid forms.

So basically from the info given it may be that we can choose which "race" to start with bug, humanoid plus others i reckon. The humanoid ones i think will be the ones defending the roman town from robots. The other "races" will probably have their own missions...

Looking at these pics I think medieval space age and strenght levels like Serf, Knight or Dowinger and Empress.
Some blended with current world as we know it like the anticipated Queen (as in Atrox) ...It makes me wonder and I am looking forward to it.
Even conversion of Calypsian type avatars might be possible

Hiya George,

Actually, I can shed some light on that. The purple crystals are from a story I wrote back in the early 80s called the Advent. It was never published but more art and short stories followed. The crystals are alive and are the energy generators of the native planet, now called Postmoderna.

Purely coincidence with Cyrene, I am sure.

What I find curious is those purple crystals were described in planet postmoderna and those volcano creatures. Wonder if that guy on planet postmoderna worked on planet cyrene or how he knew?
