LOL, I don't want to ruin your anticipation, but I suspect they will come back with something along the lines of...

"Your GF's machine next to you was using 90% of your carriers bandwidth and caused your problem." (yeah, I occasionally get pessimistic).

Actually, if her uplink *is* set too high, it can be a contributor, so you might want to set both settings to be a little "less" than half the bandwidth, each.

Then you really can hit the B.S. button if they give you that kind of an answer. Either way, I *still* recommend you do a local bandwidth test to dslreports.com as evidence that their is nothing wrong with your end, systemically.

In the beginning MA created PE, and it was good. Then MA nerfed our skills and we played harder to achieve our successes. Then MA said "let there be EU" and we played under a new name. And so MA nerfed our weapons and we were displeased but loyal. Now, when MA massively nerfs everything and tells us to put our weapons and skill aside, to go forth and color and texturize our clothes, are we to do so dispite it being an abomination to what was ONCE good?!?

8Mbit ADSL... wich can drop to ~6Mbit in peak times.
We used to be both online in PE with torrent download running in background on normal priority on her desktop (upload speed limited to ~50%)
... and it was not significantly worse then in these days (if we do not count high hdd activity caused performance drop)

- Connection speed is set to 2-3Mbit in both clientloaders (also tried to play with those already without any effect)

I use 256kbit in the clientloader and no equip problems at all. I find it strange only some systems are affected. There might be a setting somewhere that solves the problem.

Yeah, with 8 Mbit, there's no reason to suspect local issues unless someone really hates you and set you up for a DOS attack, lol.

I actually did find something that affected some steam clients lately. A new service pack for visual studios really caused a SIGNIFICANT decrease in online game play recently. Didn't dig in to see what aspect it is based on (network/graphics/whoknowswhat...), and I'm not trying to draw a link to your issue, but it *is* possible that some clients are affected because of what they have on them. *IF* you have visual studios installed and ran the service packs recently (it's been out for a few months), try removing it (just the service pack).

Again, the smart money is with it being a centralized issue at one or all of MA's server farms, but it's in your best interests to try a few things too. Good luck.

And p.s. where are the items??

AND, since we all have to download a few gig to play EU, that means probably most of the calculating is done client-side. So if most calculations are done client side, why would the serverload be in the red all the time? Maybe because stuff is old or not good configurated or both.
I have a 20mbit stable connection and a FAT PC(dualcore, 2gig. memory, , , so no problems there...)
Please MA do some benchmarking!!!
