Got 2 more "nice ones"

1) The RX units didnt have any footguards

2) Saw an RX revive in Echidna complaining that he forgot to take his toxic shot when going in 30seconds before

(nope sorry didnt get any screenies of either but im sure several others can confirm)

Sidenote:

As for some of the other claims/comments in thread i cant even really be arsed to comment specifically... One tip though? Search the forums, ask around and then try to make something just slightly close to an objective asessment instead of going off with some moral bullshit based on lack of knowledge. Flame away i dont care, but as an example claiming that "MA only does events for ubers" has got to be one of the biggest loads of crap ive ever heard.
Theres even previous threads about this issue alone, every one proving that yes, people with gear and skills have an advantage (if you dont like that then wtf are you even doing in a skillbased RCE-game...?) but that most of the events held had very good chances for medium/lowend people to participate on good terms, if not solo then as a minimum in teams.

This one was mainly for "higher skilled" yes, no doubt about it, but wheres the problem with that? There shouldnt be any events where people that invested a shitload of time and money are the only ones that have a real chance or? How is that less "wrong" than wanting only events where all have equal chances of being lucky? This isnt supposed to be a lottery, again... its supposed to be a skillbased game where you actually do better and have more options the better your avatar gets... i.e. theres gotta be something for everyone, not only one thing everyone can do every time.

(btw this one did end with MA "changing the rules" so only people with below medium hp could get a reward for killing the RX, if someone with above killed one they just wasted some ammo, they even moved the RXunits to the border of pvp3 near echidna to give everyone a chance).

But what good is it to have rewards for those with medium health if all the ubers are killing those players as they try to earn the reward?

Nice post Optima, +rep

I made a very similar post (with concrete examples) in the Merry Mayhem event thread, where so many unfairly (imo) complained about MA always making "uber-only" events:

Quote:

"Why are all the events that MA creates designed for "ubers" only? "

These complaints seem quite inaccurate and misplaced if one reviews the recent events MA has run:

EBN: Associate Relations (July 2007)- Crater event with eomon, big merps, armax, exarosaurs, snargs etc. Many of the mobs (including the smaller Eomon) were easily hunted by mid-level hunters and teams, and many nice items were looted. An event where players of all levels were able to take part.
The Eomon migration from the previous year was much the same, with mobs and maturities for hunters of all skill levels.

EBN: The Animal Kingdom (July 2007)- Included all sizes of mobs such as Miner Bots (easily killed by fairly low level hunters), RX units that dropped the new rocket launchers on the ground (most of which were not looted by "ubers").

EBN: The March on Fury (Feb 2007)- Feffoid event open to EVERYONE in EntropiaUniverse, in which the Atrox Egg was looted by a mid-level avatar, and sold for 100,000 PEDs. The avatar who looted the egg certainly killed many fewer Feffoids than many of the other participants (including the evil "ubers" with very fast killspeeds), but there were few complaints seen by those who spent more ammo, killed more Feffoids, and were more dedicated to the event.

EBN: Robot Mobilization (March 2006)- Massive robot attacks at various cities over several weeks. Rare secret robot transmitters were looted, later traded for very valuble Protector of the Empire armor sets. Several of the transmitters were looted by "non-ubers", and the event was open to participants of pretty much all skill levels.

Also, announced on the same day as the Merry Mayhem event, are a series of 30-minute single highest loot events: Entropia CES Events, which include some very nice prizes, such as Jaguar Footguards M&F, full TT Eraktor Impact grenade launcher, rare minerals (gold, platinum, rugaritz, etc.), and a full TT AS 147. The format of these events (highest single loot) makes it very possible for mid and low level hunters to win the prizes.

Also, don't forget the ongoing Note and Orb events, which have included new unique Argonauts (killable by mid-level hunters and teams of even fairly low level hunters).

MA also donated prizes to the 2007 WOF event (a participant-created event), in which hundreds of players of a wide range of skill levels participated (including members of the winning team, Team USA).

So tell me, where is this evidence that "MA always makes "evil-uber-only" events waaaaaaaaaa waaaaaaaaaa life isn't fair, MA sucks, waaaaaa waaaaa" ??

In fact, aside from the Merry Mayhem event, show me one event in which "ubers" had an overwhelming advantage, or which excluded players of lower skill levels?

Great event MA put on in short notice. especially since the server probs caused a delay in the LG.

Have to say I saw plenty of Pk'ers in there (my soc managed to dodge them though ).

True I didn't see the RX's but my soc survived to live for another battle ).

Seen the pics though, they seem to be avas like us, or is this my imagination, or are they androids? Personally I thought it was a bot event lol.

Either way good job MA, and again, pleased to fight another day lol.

Btw just curious do these RX units appear as red or green dots? Just curious.

they're MA employee controlled avatars. they are, for sure not robots (seen any creature fight like RX's do? heck, they might not be the best pvp'ers in entropia, but theyr human, since if that was AI controlled, i wonder why the boss mobs (so to speak, atrox queen, warlocks that are/where named, big (high intel) robots etc.) dont/didnt move around like that.

FPS skills have very little to do with pking in entropia. The controlls and movent of the avas are just too slow and jerky, along with the hit box being huge, to affect it much. As long as you can aim in the general direction and have a pulse, you can pk in entropia. Winning just comes down to who hits for more and who can survive for longer.
