As much fun as we're having bashing Toronto, I'll be at the expo (even if I'm not an ambassador) because I live an hours drive away

just wondering if anyone has heard back about becoming an ambassador for this event yet? i applied but havent had any kind of response so far, yet i applied for one last fall and heard back very fast

Applied but have not heard anything back yet....hope they respond soon as I would like to book a flight soon

Ill get my lawn chair and sling shot out of the garage.

What dates do I need to be sitting at the edge of lake Ontario in Rochester to shoot these jelly beans across the lake to Toronto?

Anyone allergic to the licorice ones post here ahead of time so I can schedule specific hours for their launch so I dont hurt fellow Entropians.

Just some Info for those attending maybe it can be added to the first post.

1. Info about the Expo
It's more then just games it's a whole lot of other stuff like Sci-Fi, Scary Stuff, Anime You can find out on there website which is VERY hard to find:

2. Finding the Expo

If you Search for the Metro Toronto Convention Center in anyway shape or form i've found you dont get the right address to plug into google but if you put:

265 Front Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 2X3

You can see right on the map it says "Metro Toronto Convention Center on the big building. It's right behind the Rogers Center(formerly Skydome) and the CN Tower(formerly the tallest building in the world)

3. Hotels and Travel

There site has links and info to getting discounts on hotels and flights.

Rooms are 150$ a night which is actually not bad for right downtown.

If you are driving and have a car i found that Comfort Hotel Airport North
445 Rexdale Boulevard Toronto, ON, CA it's 25 min from the convention center and cost about 115$ a night (i've got a company discount that gets me it for 82$ a night, i may be able to pass that on too).

4. Parking & Transit & Gas
Parking is a Bitch in toronto and usually people want cash up front so make sure you have some cash handy. Or Possibly take transit and not have to pay parking. The hotel listen on there site you can easily walk from it's about a 15-20 min walk. Gas is also expensive around there in the summer too.(i know not as bad as some places in Europe but worse then in the US. So if your driving from the states fill up before you cross.

5. Attraction Deals
I also found a good deal on 6 attractions for 65$US if your interested cause the show ends at 7pm Saturday and 6pm Sunday you may have a time to go visit some things. Just check there operating hours before you buy the deal
