Only a short bus ride for me into the city (well about 26min~) just waiting on some more information, namely times and such... Though if I remember rightly, the Convention Centre doesn't open till 10am, but I haven't been there for months, so I could be dead wrong.

Race ya to the hayshed (our (derogatory) name for the Convention Centre )

As for sharing accommodation, I wouldn't recommend that, I snore (apparently)

Well I'm about 6kms from the convention centre, I'll be dropping in, and I expect to be found drinking beers with who ever is interested at least one of the nights of the weekend.

Looking forward to meeting those that have been choosen, gratz btw, and others that are coming down for the festivities.

Don't worry Echo there will be a melbourne one some day.

Also I was thinking of arranging a melbourne coffee/arvo around the time of the expo. If I time it right and some MA ppl have time before or after the expo to come over to melbourne for a coffee. We could have a sort of get together.

I was thinking of a place at QV. Can't remember its name but its largish and faces the open area above the shops.

My husband had no problem with me nipping off to Perth if I was selected - but sadly is not so keen on me going just to meet up with other players.

We did notice this - Gen Com Australian Gaming Convention - which is just up in Brisbane in July.

I might go along and check it out. If others who live locally want to take a look to, perhaps we can meet up there. PM me if interested and we can organise a meet point.

Perhaps MA might consider a stand there next year ?

Hey everyone!

EwoK just found this thread and pointed it out - I can't believe we missed it!!! At the same time, I think I know why - it never occurred to us that MA would come out to Australia any time soon, so I wasn't looking for it!

Therefore, and on behalf of my fellow SFE team mates and Perth citizens (sandgropers for those who understand), I'm honoured, and absolutely stoked to find out that MA and some awesome Aussies are making their way to Perth in about 6 weeks.

MA, don't worry about putting me up in a hotel - I live about 10 mins drive from the Exhibition Centre so I'll be ok for accomodation

Obviously now that the selection of ambassadors is over, I don't expect a place on the booth or anything, but you guys can rely on me being there the whole three days to help out in any way you like.

I believe I have something to offer the exhibition. I can categorically say it is possible to run a successful business within EU and enjoy your gaming at the same time. It's one hell of a learning curve but it's worth it and you get to hang around with some great people! Because of our attitude to EU and what it gives back to us, it is now a very important part of our lives and there is simply no other game I am now interested in at all.

I can't wait to meet all you aussies who are keen to get there, and I'll definitely be up for helping out with that bar tab - we can mosey up to the Hilton up the road from the Exhibition Centre for drinks whenever we need to.

I will send an email to ambassadors@mindark.com now anyway, just to let them know I'll be there and if they need a hand with anything I'm more than happy to help out.
