I hope this comes back as a feature in the auction, but only if a minimum condition is a variable in the order process (meaning that I can determine the minimum acceptable value of the item). But for now, since there are a few bad apples in the universe that took advantage of this flaw in the auction system the option is taken away completely. The right move, but sad it happened in this way. Last edited by Rayne Jade; 03-19-2008 at 13:34. |

What a bizarre, random update. It's almost like it was done by MA. Oh, wait.
![]() If they would calculate % markup on (L) starting at the breaking value, it would solve the problem -- both with orders being filled with broken (L) and with market value records being skewed (and easily skewable by market manipulators). Or here's a thought: why not *gasp* make (L) items break at 0 tt? |

Hopefully MA will change some important things in future to prevent Auction dumping.
For Example Textures: Real Costs to craft them (with daily actual Marketprices) if you only count Material Costs (with Daily markup) per Klick are much higher then Auction Dumpers try to get for the final Textures. Textures with 105% or maybe 110% markup (placed by auction Dumpers) could easily be worth lotsa more % only in Materials since Materials are totally overpriced because of to low Dropping Rates and Ripp Off prices. This way its a big problem to try to craft them with fairly priced Materials (since Dumping is all arround). I myself calculated every single Texture inside my Shop pretty carefully. after I calced them only with daily priced Materials/per Klick I got the result that its nearly impossible to craft Textures for those prices Auction Dumpers try to get on them in Auction. I also not calced in my Skills (since I think its unfair to ask higher Prices because lack of skills). So its only my own Risk then to have losses. But to sell fair priced textures (Daily Markup on Materials per Klick) seems to be pretty difficult as long as People try to dump Prices on Final Textures wich easily cost lots more Peds or % only in Materials to craft (according to Daily Markup Prices- Probably lotsa Dumping on materials arround too) (without any additional win). Sure it maybe a problem of Skills but I also have lotsa Texture BPs with high QR wich I skilled out. Totally green success Bar I mean. This ones I surely calculated too in Materials per Klick....... No matter if I got only 1 Texture, maybe a few more Textures or not a single Texture successed per Klick. Same Chance to get a few successfull results per Klick as you can have the problem to get not a single one successfull with a few Klicks but thats the dynamic part in crafting. Same Result: some of those high success BPs also would be pretty much higher only in Materials/per Klick then People try to get via auction. To prevent extreme Losses I myself never would sell Textures for lower Prices then I had to pay in Materials. But lotsa people do, they think those Auction Prices might be the correct ones and dont try to calculate their expenses. They sell for under Material Costs....... finally they probably will have a big Chance to go bankrupt in pretty short time. Here I see a big Main Problem in Case of Auction Dumping MA needs to take care for..... increasing Droppingrates on those Materials to regulate market...... for example. This Problem you can see in every kind of crafting. no matter if Armor, Tools, Attachements, Tailoring and such Things. It will be a Main Problem in EU as long as nothing changes. Everyone who is doing Textures pls feel welcome to check my Shop at Genesis HQ near TP....... (Genesis StarTower B Block C Shop #05) The Prices I did on my crafted textures are strongly calculated (Daily Materialcosts per Klick) with minimum Markup in % for my RL Input (invested Time and Supplies). If you think that cannot be true Its Ripp Off ..... lol pls make yourself the experience and try to calculate yourself for sure. You will be surprised ! But, it surely can be possible too that you will find some Textures inside my Shop wich are cheaper (then current Auction Markup)..... this is caused by real counted Material Costs. So you see it can be The Good or the Bad Side of Life :-) Pls feel welcome to discuss ![]() yours Sonne Last edited by Sonne; 03-19-2008 at 15:02. |

Yeah making the (L) broke at 0 % would definitely be a solution, as you pay a markup too for these 3% unused..
Still i think this should help to settle the market on limited items |

It's perfectly okay if you can review the condition first -- buyer beware kind of thing. So if you buy a broken (L) item, it's on you. This is not the case if the seller took advantage of your (L) order to dump their stuff at a gain they wouldn't dream of getting otherwise. Makes PERFECT sense to me. Don't prevent the (L) auctions, just the abuse generated by (L) offers being used by broken item dumpers. |

In the beginning MA created PE, and it was good. Then MA nerfed our skills and we played harder to achieve our successes. Then MA said "let there be EU" and we played under a new name. And so MA nerfed our weapons and we were displeased but loyal. Now, when MA massively nerfs everything and tells us to put our weapons and skill aside, to go forth and color and texturize our clothes, are we to do so dispite it being an abomination to what was ONCE good?!? |
